He has a point ...

The entire sport was corrupt at the time, and I'm not convinced it has cleaned itself up yet.

in the h^%$ did all these misfit, delusional and immature losers come from, all at once!???

Were they always with us? Why are they only NOW oozing up from the putrid miasma of our sick society? What stinking sewer have they crawled out of?

I personally DO NOT know any people like this and I hope never to meet any.

Because somehow the Post Office has been tarnished by Lance’s use of performance enhancers?

I don’t believe it for a second.

The crooks in the post office just want the money back because the cheating bastards are broke. They’d like to pass around another quarter billion in bonuses they can’t really afford.

Lance Armstrong Says: It's The Postal Service's Fault For Giving Him $41 Million When He Was On Drugs

and whoever at the Postal Service wrote the check must have been on drugs as well.

I have some sympathy for American cyclists. Back then (and maybe still), all the top Euro riders were doping, the governing body refused to do anything about it, so Americans started doping to have any chance of winning. Lance turned out to be very good at doping, combined with his natural talent and started winning. That some punk American, from Texas no less, was winning their little bike race peeved the Euros no end. Hence the vendetta against Lance, while Euro riders were doing the same and worse. Now Lance made it far worse by lying and filing libel lawsuits, but still I can understand the original motivation.

If they gave him $41 mil. when they can’t even maintain home delivery, the Postmaster is the one on drugs.

The fallacy is saying this group are the “good guys” and that group are the “bad guys” when there are no “good guys” or “bad guys”. Just a bunch of human beings functioning in a competitive environment.

Lance is a jerk and a proven liar but that doesn’t make him the devil incarnate. And the people lined up against Lance aren’t angels.

Somehow we never seem to be able to rid ourselves of the mythology that is sports and those that play them.

Armstrong is a total moron for revealing his secrets if he truly wants to retain the money.

He was in the cat bird seat with all the money for endorsements and no legal pressure to fess up.

It got everything it bargained for from Armstrong and his cycling team.

This is the only defense Armstrong needs. All the other defenses are just legal points that needed to be made by the lawyers just in case the main defense is not successful.

Also, in order to prevail in a civil lawsuit, the plaintiff must be able to prove damages - an impossible task. There is also a huge statute of limitations problem for the plaintiffs.

I wonder which high-level executive(s) at the USPS were big cycling fans and took paid trips to watch the Tour de France by using the sponsorship as an excuse to get the government to pay for their hobby.

Also, how can anyone tarnish the image of the USPS beyond what it has done to itself?
