WASHINGTON Helen Thomas, a pioneer for women in journalism, has died, Fox News confirms. She was 92. The irrepressible White House correspondent who used her seat in the front row to grill ten presidents -- often to their discomfort and was not shy about sharing her opinions, died at her apartment in Washington.
According to friend Muriel Dobbin, Thomas had been ill for al ong time, and in and out of the hospital before coming home Thursday. Thomas made her name as a bulldog for United Press International in the great wire-service rivalries of old, and as a pioneer for women in journalism.
She was persistent to the point of badgering. One White House press secretary described her questioning as "torture" -- and he was one of her fans.
Her refusal to conceal her strong opinions, even when posing questions to a president, and her public hostility toward Israel, caused discomfort among colleagues.

Too bad she didn’t die 30 years ago.
Add Communist to being Anti-Semitic.....and the list could go on....
Fugly is as fugly does.
Ditto except she wasn’t a journalist, she was a propagandist.
You never know. If you have a liberal in your family, it means she could have (had) a conservative in hers, who is also a visitor to our very own Free Republic. Besides, we are above that over here at FR at such a time, differences notwithstanding, which distinguishes us from that craphole over there called Democratic Underground. Too bad for her family.....
Not important news.
Where will be the wake when Soros passes?
This thread needs eyewash.

Well said!
We are all sinners, unworthy of our lord, Jesus Christ. Those who have experienced hell and have come back to tell about it wish no one to go there, not even they’re worse enemies. God have mercy on her and all of us.
Does this mean that we never have to look at her sorry puss again? What? No more Helen Thomas images when we discuss Mo Dowd and Catherine Zeta-Jones?
OK, rest in peace. No ill words for the dead.
AND NO MORE PICTURES, PLEASE! EVER!!!!!!
