Liz Cheney: "I am strongly pro-life."
Are you seriously suggesting that *Liz Cheney* is going to challenge the GOP establishment?
She is not a social liberal. She is a social conservative.
How did your politics get to a point where you label a pro-gay marriage, pro-gay military, pro-gay state department, anti DOMA, anti-const.amendement politician, who for the first time in her life just made a 3 word claim to be pro-life, as a “social conservative”?
How did being a supporter of the homosexual agenda become “social conservative” to you?
You guys can’t just keep ignoring that we conservatives are against the homosexual agenda, and the last thing we want is to give up a Senate seat to a gay agenda promoter.
Why are you trying to destroy the reputation of one of the most articulate conservatives in the media?
No. What’s you’re point?
If I am nit-picking every issue, I have a huge problem with Enzi's vote for internet taxes. That's an issue that affects me in a much more significant way than gay marriage. Overall, I like both just fine. I suppose for some, if a person is wrong on an important issue, they'll see things differently.
America cannot survive the homosexual agenda and Cheney supports and promotes it. ilgipper, your social liberalism is showing.
Fiji Hill, you are close to flat out being a liar with your repeated and determined ignoring of the facts on her promotion and support of the gay agenda. She wanted DADT ended and rejoiced when it was, she was against DOMA, is against a constitutional amendment to save marriage, and supports gay marriage, and supports the State department move to the gay agenda.
Ansel12, I would be a bit reticent about calling people liars when you yourself charged Liz Cheney with being pro-abortion, which is untrue.
Yes, it's been established that Liz seems to be soft on gay rights, but she takes a strong conservative stand on most other issues. And we need someone in the Senate who is dynamic and articulate and not passive.
Finally you admit that she is for the homosexual agenda, she is openly pro-gay agenda, and has been for years, something that no conservative can be, and as far as her being pro-abortion as many of us have suspicioned, can you find her being pro-life at anytime during her political career, before this week?
We do not need an articulate promoter of the homosexual agenda as Liz has been for years, and we do not need someone who has never articulated a pro-life agenda or position.
Yes I do, don’t you?
Do you plan to call conservatives fighting the left’s agenda, closet homosexuals? What brand of conservatism is that?
Calling me a social liberal is humorous. I don’t agree with Liz Cheney on this, but I do agree on hundreds of others. I agree with Enzi on most things too, but disagree on some important issues.
If gay issues are number one on a person’s list of importance, than Liz Cheney is not the better pick. If that issue is down the list, maybe it doesn’t factor as much into their decision.
There might be 90% agreement but there are big issues and the gay thing IS a deal killer, they are after our kids and they are winning. Its a sickness that cannot be ignored.
You are a social liberal if you support the destruction of marriage, homosexualizing the military, federal employment, and all the rest of the radical leftist, homosexual agenda of Liz Cheney, which you apparently can live with to get her into an already GOP senate seat.
She has promoted the homosexual agenda to America for years, yet was not pro-life until this week or so, so yeah, social liberal is accurate.
Amen. I am sick of both. I used to like Dick Cheney, but now he makes me sick.
According to the standard of the Liz Cheney fans, we should spend tons of time and money to take out a guy with a 93% conservative record because he's not a "fighter" or "outspoken" enough. Going by their own rules, Liz Cheney is NOT "strongly" pro-life, since she never once talked about the issue until this week. Giving her the benefit of the doubt and assuming she IS pro-life, it obviously isn't on her priority list of things to "fight" for.
Furthermore, given Liz's record on social issues, how do we know she won't "evolve" on abortion if her sister Mary has one? Her fellow gay marriage supporters have told us over and over again that if your family member is gay, you MUST support the gay agenda to "love" them, so if Mary had an abortion, Liz would be obligated to support abortion to stand by her sister and not hurt Mary's feelings, right?? Again, I'm just going by the rules and standards they set. That's what happens when you make excuses for conservatives selling their soul on key issues.
