I think what we’ve proven with mounting evidence....is that we can no longer run an income tax system. It’s too prone for abuse with the data involved. So the only alternate idea? A plain flat tax or sales tax, period.

I don’t see we avoid going that direction now. Too many people have massive data files that will be reviewed by dozens or hundreds or thousands. The IRS is now just a collection of data.....to benefit one party over another.

I would be on board with this big time. I would not even mind a 3 percent National Sales Tax. A VAT Tax of 3 percent that goes to the debt. A state tax of 3 percent on every purchase (nothing exempt) and a 1 percent local tax on all items for every person buying an item in various counties. That is a total of 10 percent tax on EVERY Item you buy. Sure it will go up and up and up, but I highly doubt it will get up to 40 percent or more that we pay today on all taxes (at least not for many generations).

Tariffs are another alternate idea. That one's also in the Constitution. This way we collect people who are accessing our system, not those within it.
