Probably just a coincidence — his dying before he has a chance to take the stand.

(This is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire; or both.)
To: BenLurkin
Well, he did get to move out to Lincoln ...
I guess whoever killed him couldn't afford Weston ...

There are some Fibbies who are breathing a sigh of relief about now.

For some reason, I’m thinking about the Benny Hill skit where Benny is interviewing a mob informant who is supposed to be shaded, and he discovers they were sitting the wrong chairs....then immediately the informant gets shot.

I’m guessing the law on that varies by state.

The thing here is that it could have been Bulger, Rogue FBI, or even IRA (The IRA weapons bust lead the way).
If I was a Bulger victim back in the day, I'd be keeping my trap shut and swallowing my pride. Don't want to be Irish kneecapped or worse.

Tony Soprano did it. Oh wait, he is gone now. Maybe it was one of Whitey’s crew.

Thought I read in the earlier posting that he had been informed that he wasn’t going to be called to testify.
To: BenLurkin
He found out the day before he was not going to be a witness and didn’t go to court the next day.

“He died of repeated blows to the head. Clearly suicide.”
To: yefragetuwrabrumuy
from the article:
While the cause of death is unknown, Ryan says “there were no obvious signs of trauma.” The medical examiner is expected to conduct an autopsy.
To: RitchieAprile
I was being facetious. However, coroners are not immune to pressure from outsiders, usually to declare unnatural death as being natural causes; that there were no drugs in someone who died of an overdose; or that suicide was not suicide, for the sake of insurance money to the survivors.
In this case, he might truly have died of natural causes, or some mobster used an unusual amount of subtlety in killing him.
