The point is not to 'smear' Martin. That is what the Martins tried to do to George. The point is to finally reveal the truth. That is not 'smearing'.
Actually, establishing this may help with any civil claim. If Martin was buying the ingredients for “lean”, that may help explain why he responded to Zimmerman in the way he did, especially if he also bought “blunts” at the same time.

I disagree. I think what helps Sharpton is for good people to stay out of it and keep quiet. I am fed up with groups playing the race card and no one calling them out on it.
The media feeds it like gas on a fire. I am just fed up and I think it is time to call them on their lies.
If this incident had played out as it should have if it had not been hijacked for agendas the issue would have been self defense and it all would have faded away. Zimmerman’s life has been ripped open looking for proof of racism, even though he was found innocent it is not over. Even now officials are asking people to report any detail of Zimmerman’s life that could possibly be used as evidence for federal charges. That opens up a can of worms, and I do think it is past time for Martin’s dirty laundry to be hung out for all to see as well.
If you watched the trial you would know that much evidence was not allowed by the judge.

Because it isn’t over for Zimmerman, even though “A jury” acquitted him.
Because the left will obsess on making the rest of his life a living hell.
Because, in order to thwart those efforts, the TRUTH about Martin needs to be told in every possible way to as many people as possible. (It isn’t “smearing” if it’s the truth.) Making every person aware of Trayvon’s past and his true character will be necessary to help Zimmerman get final justice.
