Union bosses are not happy about Obamacare. Last week, the leaders of three major U.S. unions, including James P. Hoffa of the Teamsters, sent a scathing open letter to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, Democratic leaders in Congress. They warn that if the law does not change, Obamacare will "destroy the very health and wellbeing of our members along with millions of other hardworking Americans."
Clearly they feel betrayed. Here is the first paragraph of their letter:
"When you and the President sought our support for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), you pledged that if we liked the health plans we have now, we could keep them. Sadly, that promise is under threat. Right now, unless you and the Obama Administration enact an equitable fix, the ACA will shatter not only our hard-earned health benefits, but destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class."
They claim that the unions put boots on the ground to secure the Democrat's vision of affordable health care, but "Now this vision has come back to haunt us." It's such a great letter, that I have included it below.

In July 2009, the Teamsters announced a vigorous campaign for health care reform, including a website (teamstersforhealthcarereformnow.com - no longer active) and events during Congress' August recess. Teamsters President James Hoffa then said something quite different than today.

The fit has hit the shan, so to speak. Somebody has finally read further into the bill further than where it says, “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010”. The only part of that title that is not a blatant lie is the date, 2010. Everything else is a smokescreen laid down to placate the demographics within the Democrat voter base.
Nanacy Pelosi has seen her fondest dream come true, the bill was passed, so now there is time to read it. The parts that are not mutually contradictory place impossible mandates on parties that were never consulted or even aware they were targeted.
The Labor Unions supported ObamaCare because they were told that they would be exempt. Silly Unions.
They supported it in the beginning. They deserve to get hit by every regulation.
The unions usefulness to Democrats is over, and I expect them to be deaf to any and all complaints emanating from them As soon as a group is no longer of use, the Democratic throw them under the bus like yesterdays underware.
