Religion associate professor and MSNBC commentator, Anthea Butler said she blames God for the outcome of the Zimmerman trial, and adds that God is “a White Racist.”
Known for attacking evangelical leaders, charter schools, and Ayn Rand, Butler has now attacked God in her capacity as a religion teacher.
In Religion and Dispatches, she wrote that “God ain’t good all the time. In fact," she continued, “sometimes God is not for us. As a black woman in an [sic] nation that has taken too many pains to remind me that I am not a white man, and am not capable of taking care of my reproductive rights, or my voting rights, I know that this American god ain’t my god. As a matter of fact, I think he’s a white racist god with a problem. More importantly, he is carrying a gun and stalking young black men.”
She implored other tax-payer funded university professors to teach the same. “Those of us who teach American Religion have a responsibility to tell all of the story, not just the nice touchy-feely parts. When the good Christians of America are some of its biggest racists, one has to consider our moral responsibility to call out those who clearly are not for human flourishing, no matter what ethnicity a person is [sic].”
She said that when Zimmerman brought up “God’s Will” on Sean Hannity’s show, he was “diving right into what most good conservative Christians in America think right now.”
She accuses Christians of being fearful of black and brown people, but didn’t happen to mention that Zimmerman is not white.
“Their god is the god that wants to erase race, make everyone act ‘properly’ and respect, as the president said, ‘a nation of laws’; laws that they made to crush those they consider inferior.”
If this is what she "teaches" her students, why has she not been fired? This is not religion, this is nothing but extreme racism and hate speech!

She should have been fired and if I were a parent and had a son or daughter in her class I would take them out of it

This whole fiasco is actually a good thing - the meme is finally blowing itself out, like a child that has one final gigantic tempter tantrum and then collapses, exhausted, with no bullshit left that anyone will believe.
Perhaps now a Black movement for self-respect and rejection of dependency can start up, free of Democrat harrassment. Because the truth is that Balcks are indeed the most oppressed people in America - but their oppressors are the Democrat Party, which is just as ruthless against them as it was when it was its original founders - the slave owners themselves.

Yes, I saw that. I too was surprised, but he took Williams down hard. Made him look like just another race baiter in this.
Black Racists will bring back this monster, like Dracula coming back from the dead. How long will White people put up with abuse until they strike back? If, and I hope blacks wake up to this, it returns it will not be fat Rednecks in White Robes, but far worse—this time more like the IRA. They will not burn crosses but black churches and homes! I doubt that religion has much to do with it. It's just good, old fashioned racial and tribal hatred. When Hutus killed Tootsies, religion hadn't have much to do with it either.
I guess I was most specifically referring to white liberals.
