You don't have to be either white or racist to be sick of the bad attitudes and criminality among the professional entitlement/grievance crowd.
Funny, a white person can see a news story about a convicted white criminal and not feel any need whatsoever to identify or sympathize with that person. But let a black person be arrested in commission of a crime, with witnesses of both colors, and suddenly Al Sharpton appears with a fresh new spew of DoubleSpeak and you get an automatic 97% victimhood response from duh commoonity. I think most people on this thread are just fed up with the complaining.
My grandparents could barely read, never finished third grade and were faced with "No Irish Need Apply" signs when looking for work. My parents finished high school. I was the first college graduate in the family. My kid is getting the doctorate. This is the American Dream, without any paid health care or free stuff. But it takes work, and not too much smoldering resentment to do it.
You mean your family started here three or four generations ago and did all that? You must have had taken advantage of the Irish quotas in the schools and gotten lots of equal opportunity scholarships and stuff like that. Those disadvantaged white boy programs are the only way you and your family could have made it to enjoy the advantages you have now.
Yes, and white people didn’t go nuts and say that only a racist black person would refuse to vote for George Bush or John McCain or Mitt Romney and on and on but I have heard from WHITE people that I cannot disagree with Obama or I am automatically racist. Okay, if that is the rule then I am racist because I damned sure disagree with him on just about anything you can think of.
