From Republicans: Silence Of The Lambs
Vanity

Posted on 07/16/2013 5:47:22 AM PDT by Williams

The Republicans, as usual, are too clever to speak up and become embroiled in the George Zimmerman controversy.

The Attorney General of the United States stirs up racial dissension at the NAACP meeting. Republicans obviously think it would just be too messy to remind him about the rule of law.

Never mind the tiny facts that George Zimmerman was found not guilty by a jury, and that he was cleared of all racial motivation by extensive state, local, AND federal investigations. What does the life and liberty of one individual matter in the big scheme of things?

So Republicans will not speak up against groups of leftist agitators who are striving to turn out a solid racial democrat vote in 2014. And the democrats will succeed at turning out that anti Republican vote.

The Republicans would NEVER stand up for the Hispanic community which is being targeted, a la George Zimmerman. Remember, this is the Hispanic American, that huge block of potential Republican voters which the party supposedly is counting on for future elections. Why would they be so gauche as to mention an Hispanic is being targeted for injustice by the most powerful forces in the democrat party? After all that might offend the other potential Republican voting block, the African American voter.

Republicans will stand idly by while democrats herd all Hispanic groups under the united leftist banner. There is no chance anyone will remind Hispanics that this is a prime example of why their true interests lie with the conservative movement.

Republicans don't want to dirty their hands with race issues in America. Meanwhile, democrat politicians across America, right up to the Senate Majority Leader and Attorney General, are doing just that.

And perish the thought that Republicans should in any way appeal to or stand up for, dare we even mention it? (White Voters). We know that group is not to be brought up in polite company. Never mind that somehow white Americans are being implicated in an isolated private shooting involving an Hispanic American and an African American.

It's just the damnation of the jury system we're witnessing here, the fanning of a possible racial conflagration, a total abuse of federal power to destroy an innocent American citizen, a naked power play aimed, as always, at law abiding Americans of all races. Oh and that pesky Second Amendment. None of that is worth dirtying their hands over.

Whether the Republicans realize it or not, they are once again being called "racist murderers" by a rabid leftist putsch. And once again they will no doubt apologize for any semblance of political incorrectness, rather than stand up for the preservation of a just America.

The little Republican lambs don't scream as they are herded to the latest political slaughter. That would be beneath them. They are good little lambs. They are busy peacefully grazing and helping their democrat friends on amnesty and other important endeavors.

You want Republicans to focus on the media created trial of zimmerman. I want Republicans to focus on stopping the Amnesty bill. The Amnesty bill will give Amnesty to 30 million illegals .then those can bring in 5 3rd world family member to the USA. and then all those will vote for democrats who will turn the USA into a communist/socialist state. That's more important than your and the media's zimmmerman

Yes anything to stamp out any remaining opposition to democrats/communists. democrats already own the media, academia, gov schools, soros, gov bureaucracy , the presidency, the Senate ,unions, lawyers, etc. . lets give them the House too. let's not.

I agree. The GOP is MIA on all kinds of relevant issues. Of course some will support them no matter they do or don’t do.

The House GOP has the power of the purse to defund any attempt by Holder's hyperpoliticized DOJ to persecute Zimmerman via trumped-up 'civil rights' charges.

They won't use that power: ya know, 'we're only one-half of one-third', and 'we won't shut down the government under any circumstances'.

We're so f****d.

Actually I want to know why no republicans are willing to mention the criminal activities of the current administration in attempting and continuing to railroad an innocent man to incite revolt.

Not everybody has to focus on the same thing all the time. I can handle both.

NO , stop the Amnesty bill. nothing else matters right now.well the IRS scandal but even that should wait if it has to. they are about to pass Amnesty and the media has everyone focused on a trail that shouldn’t have even been on the news 1 night much less for all these months. the media never reported on any black on white killings , nor any black on black killings. they made this non crime the top news to distract us from Amnesty

Republicans have missed a golden opportunity to reach out to the “Hispanic community” and speak out against the demonizing of George Zimmerman by democrats.

Why not do what is right and stand up for an American citizen of Hispanic heritage who is being abused by the media and the government?

But, if they did that, it might hurt their chances to have democrats throw them a few crumbs now and then.

Frankly, I think the Repubs are wise to say nothing and leave the regime with the painful dilemma of pissing off more than half the country by subjecting George Zimmerman to an unconstitutional, trumped-up, already-disproven “civil rights” charge... or REALLY pissing off their main constituency by passing.

Say nothing and break out the popcorn.

Maybe the Republicans should remain quiet since it was two of their own who facilitated the whole mess. Governor Scott and AG Pam Bondi. Hope they got their trinkets for this mess.

no you are wrong. we all have to focus on one thing to have the most impact on it. the most important thing is stopping the Amnesty bill.

we all have limited time. Republicans also have limited time and energy . focus on stopping the Amnesty bill

The democrats control the media and we have only limited reach and Republicans control only the House barely. we have to pick our battles

The Republicans should stay away from the Zimmerman/Martin incident!!! This story is old news, and the vast majority of American citizens, including a good number of Black Americans could care less about this Black racist farce. In fact many, many Democrats are also remaining silent on this “Obama” created fiasco!!! The country has much more important priorities then race relations, that have been created in many instances by Black Americans themselves. The availble polling and the recent MSNBC viewer ratings show this whole charade is bust with the overwhelming majority of American citizens of all stripes!!! From the gitgo!!! Black American racists, from Obama/Holder on down have set American Blacks back at least fifty years!!!

They could do that, but should do so gently, and this needs ot percolate a bit longer to stoke Hispanic anger. Right now, I don't think they're too wrapped up with this issue yet. My recommendation would be to let it play out, then say to the Hispanic community... "Look at this mess. We can do better, can't we..."

Timing will be everything on this....
