Warning shots are reckless and endanger innocent people, and should never be fired. If a person truly believes they are in jeopardy of being killed or suffering serious bodily injury, they should fire at their attacker. By not firing at the attacker, you raise doubt that you actually felt yourself to be in such jeopardy.
That being said, I suspect there is more to the story. Isn't that how lib examples operate? They tell 1/10th of the story? Little boy....skipping home from the store with Skittles....
True true. Yeah there’s got to be more to this. Just like you said, when the Trayvon/Zimmerman story first broke everyone thought it was this “wanna be cop” who killed a kid who went to the store for candy just because the kid was black. Then you get the real story...
Warning shot was OK in my town a few months ago. A middle-aged woman’s home was broken into by a man in the middle of the night. She pulled out her gun, told him “I’ve got a gun.” And shot into the wall. Man sat in a chair until police arrived. No problem for this woman whatsoever.
She inspired me to become a gun owner. Lots of other women too, judging by the line at City Hall getting permits to carry.

Even still, it was confined to family and nobody was hurt. She should not even see prison IMO.
