"Sadly, all the facts in this tragic case will probably never be known," Bloomberg said in a prepared statement Sunday. "But one fact has long been crystal clear: 'shoot first' laws like those in Florida can inspire dangerous vigilantism and protect those who act recklessly with guns."
He blamed "gun lobby extremists in Washington" for drafting the laws and said the legislation lets armed citizens think it's OK to shoot first and later defend themselves on the grounds that it was a justifiable homicide."
Bloomberg touted his work with other civic leaders on the issue and said they are seeking to eliminate such laws in Florida and elsewhere: "The tragic death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed child attempting to walk home from the store, will continue to drive our efforts," he said.

Bloomie’s a moron. Obviously, he didn’t see the trial and refuses to view the FACTS of the case. This was a cut-and-dried case of self-defense.
There was no “shoot first” - this was a shooting as a last resort, as it should be.
I wonder when ol’ Bloomie’s going to disarm his guards and his police department. He needs to lead by example, after all.

Many liberals don’t believe you have a right to self defense. The only thing you are allowed to do is run away.
But in this case there was no “shoot first” law invoked (he means “Stand Your Ground” - what an a$$). While Florida has such a law Zimmerman did not use it and it was never an issue. This was pure self defence. So if they repealed the law it would have had no affect on the Zimmerman case whatsoever. Bloomjerk is a total idiot!
Dear God. My message to Bloomberg. “Shoot of your mouth first before knowing what you’re talking about can be dangerous to your reputation.” In this case, it reconfirms that he’s a blooming ignorant creepy ass cracker.
Only problem with Mayor Shit-fer-Brain’s theory is that Zimmerman DIDN’T shoot first...

The message the Left wants you to take away from this incident is like Zimmerman, if you have a concealed carry permit, and you are faced with a self defense situation, maybe you should just take your ass-whipping and hope he doesn't decide to kill you rather than shooting your attacker (if he's black and you are white)and subjecting your self and your family to the Hell that Zimmerman and his family are now going through.

But since a lack of facts have never stopped me before from expressing my opinion, let me bore you once again with my one-note-samba. I'm convinced that all the problems in America stem from the 2nd Amendment, so we must get rid of it. Let's do it for Trayvon and the children.
If Z had shot first, he wouldn't have gotten a bloody nose and back of the head.
Bloomberg has almost reached British level stupidity, in declaring that it is better to be raped, robbed or murdered than to resist.

Shoot first? That would have prevented Zimmerman from getting a broken nose and lacerations from his head being pummeled into the sidewalk. Doomburg is an idiot!
Bloombutt would have preferred that Zimmerman be beaten to death.
