This is ghastly language, and no Christian hoping to share the gospel with the Jews would use it today, but please keep in mind (1) some Old Testament biblical language speaking of disaster awaiting disobedient Hebrews is equally ghastly and (2) this is the same man that said people who could not abide church music should be doomed to a prison in a silent wilderness.
