Zimmerman trial, Jury present during Judge questioning
7-11-13 | Me

Just a question:

I've heard Judge Nelson asked G Zimmerman directly if he planned on testifying at two different times during this farce of a "trial".

Was the jury present during either of these interrogations? The way it was done was highly inappropriate, if not the questions themselves. But if the jury heard this, that would be highly prejudicial, from the Judge. Astounding.

I think the jury did hear that exchange. I don’t know how Chris Farley’s mom ever became a judge.

I believe the jury was not there when she asked Zimmerman if he was going to testify. However, asking George two times before the defense had even finished their case is pretty much unheard of, as I understand it. Nelson is a totally corrupt tool of the State that wants Zimmerman convicted.

The jury was not there. Why does your question need its own thread?

she tells george he can remain silent.

then asks if he will testify

then after objections from defense, tries to get them to stop giving George counsel

repeats the questions,

cousel objects that they will find out when they are done calling witnesses and rest their case

keeps asking george for an answer, even tho sge said he could stay silent.

i believe this was a blatant attempt to trip George up. by the freaking judge. on behgalf of obama, doj, and the state.

Because I can’t find an answer. Even on this post I there are two different answers. I’ve heard the jury was present for the 1st one with the rude outburst by Judge Farley, I mean Nelson, but not the 2nd one. I would like maybe a source...

My husband is a deputy and he asked a couple of judges if this is normal. In Colorado it’s called a Curtis advisement, but it is never done in front of the jury.

I have been watching the whole thing and the Jury definitely WAS NOT there. It would be totally against the rules for the Jury to even see the defendant speak unless he does testify. They could form an opinion by just watching him say weather he wanted to testify or not.

All have given up on any conviction. Sometimes the Bear gets you.

Your question was asked and answered multiple times on every Zimmerman thread since the said event. Rachel Jeantel thinks each of her passing thoughts is deep too. Ever heard of paragraphs, essays?

You’re welcome. Thank you for the thread. The question has been on my mind, too.

She did not ask him two times, I heard her ask him 14 times.

That’s a rough estimate. Can any FReepers help out. How many times did she pepper him with the question are you going to testify?
