if they fed this to prisoners at Gitmo, imagine the uproar
The high schoolers especially complained the portion sizes were too small, and many more students brought in lunch from home.
The horror!!! We can’t have that so we’d better cancel this whole program! Why, the school breakfast, lunch and dinner bureacracy might be put out of business!
If I had it my way, the schools wouldn’t be providing lunches anyway. I went through nine years of my own homemade lunches and I did fine. Seems to me education went downhill once the schools began engaging in the hospitality industry.
Government sticking its nose where it doesn’t belong, doing the wrong thing, wasting our money and getting away with it.
I just love how a first lummox can toss her weight around telling everyone else what to do, and seemingly get away with it. Then mayors jump on board, pretty soon you can’t buy a big soft drink of your desperately in need of hydration.
This doesn’t mean I think big soft drinks should be the only liquid staple, but let the public make their own choices Ms. Field-marshal, and Mr. Let Them Drink Ice.
Well, I think they should feed those youngsters mixed veggies in Aspic like they did to me in elementary school.
It is an English dish, one of the most horrible examples of English cooking known to mankind.
Soon, they will ban bringing homemade lunches to school. Some school districts have already banned PB&J sandwiches..............
You know, the >ahem< Nazi doctors experimented with seeing how much food was necessary to keep their prisoners on the verge of death, just enough to keep a person alive. They constructed a soup made with vegetables with just a hint of meat, but no real meat, and, they made sure the soup was fat-free.
Depending on how much "essence" of fat determined if the person lived for four months or five months.
Forget Federal Lunch program. When does the Federal Wipe Your ASS program begin? Too many folks do a poor job at it. The Federal Government must step in.
Putting an affirmative action lawyer in charge of children’s nutrition is a bad idea in the first place.
