Some background:

The United Nations pays about 22,000 third world soldiers to stand around and watch the local factions fight (MONUSCO ). Since that hasn't seemed to work they've now formed an "intervention brigade" which is an offensive force of about 3,000 troops to go attack the group that the UN has decided is "bad". But for some reason the South Africans have delayed putting their soldiers in blue helmets under a Brazilian general and the new mission has stalled. Meanwhile the government is corrupt, the various rebels groups are getting aid from neighboring countries, and we are paying for it all directly and indirectly. Oh, and lots of big corporations are grabbing as many natural resources as they can while there are no enforcable labor laws, tariffs or export controls. P.S. Susan Rice has been deeply involved in all this.

If I missed anything let me know.
