In response to Sarah Palin Weighs in on Yacht-gate:
The 2012 election proved to me that we reached a tipping point. Why SHOULD the Regime respect a citizenry that would reelect this corrupt, scandal plagued collectivist, with his reverse Midas touch, whose crowning achievement has been described by one of its architects as a "trainwreck" that now has over a dozen implementation failures.
Come on. I don't care how weak a candidate Mitt Romney was - does a rational, well informed citizenry reelect such a person?
No, an irrational, on the dole, self-serving, badly informed citizenry does. Hence, the disrespect. I keep wondering when America will have had enough of the lies. Why should the Regime stop lying to our faces when most of the country seems to have no problem with it.
As noted, John Q Public has been reduced to "either a mouth to be fed, a pocket to be picked, or a political obstacle to be finessed, nothing more."
Which brings me to the latest figures coming from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, revealing that the number of Americans receiving food assistance has surpassed the number of full-time private sector workers in the U.S.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates that a total of 101,000,000 people currently participate in at least one of the 15 food programs offered by the agency, at a cost of $114 billion in fiscal year 2012.
That means the number of Americans receiving food assistance has surpassed the number of full-time private sector workers in the U.S.....

This ties into what many of us here say, that before much longer, the parasites will so outnumber the providers that the middle class will collapse under the weight. What then?
Still missing anything Obama has done that McCain or Romney wouldn't have done... Only difference is there are no cheerleaders here to urge them on. Liberal vs liberal, the conservatives stay home, and the liberals choose who appears to be the most liberal. This time I think they got it wrong, Romney would have been far more liberal, and far more effective about it as well.
Take the 'farm' bill for example, something Romney jumped all over Obama for not pushing during the 2012 campaign. Not so shockingly, Romney undercut all the conservatives seeking to curtail the massive bloated beast, and said he'd have a much easier time passing it through the House. Or McCain who vote for the bloated bill, smiling for the cameras, before he too backstabed conservatives who were seeking to make a farm bill be actually about farms...
If I were a liberal politician in 2013, I’d be laughing and crapping on everyone too.
No one ANYWHERE is lifting a finger to stop them.
I think the plan is to turn the vast majority of Americans (the ones allowed to live) into de facto slaves for the relatively few global elite.
Americans have always gotten in the way of the New World Order, and we aim to do just that now.
Illegals get food stamps.
This might just show us that many tens of millions of illegals are here and abusing what was initially meant only for “citizens.”
I agree...McCain and/or Romney....socialist lite. The destination has always been the same...just with the rino’s there would have been a little more of the scenic route.
That number is also greater than the population of Canada! by more than 2x
I know it is true because every time I am at the grocery store I get behind a couple of hefty heifers with 3 carts full and a wallet full of EBT cards. Funny how they can pay for all the nose rings, tats and smart phones but can’t afford to pay for their food.
Does the proposed immigration reform bill stop illegals from receiving food stamps?
The most powerful lobby pushing food stamps is Giant food corporations including General Mills, Kraft-Nabisco, Quaker Oats etc. I saw on TV a debate between those lobbyists with counter parts who want to cut food stamps.
This will not last forever—when the war comes—a real war not a “Police Action” against a 3rd world nation. These folks will be drafted, set to work or sent to the camps. They will be the cannon fodder to send in human waves against the Chinese/Russians. Protests will not be permitted in this “crisis” era. PC, Afirmative Action, Rights, all will be a thing of the past. Rationing with be a new function of Government and hours of time spent in line for a bit of meat and cheeze—McDonalds will have nothing but turnip fries, and Veggie Burgers all for $20 a pop. I see dark days coming—lets hope I am wrong.
This is O/T, but I will make it fit in, because in some larger way, it does (and because I want to give proper respect to this incredible man and his feat while I’m thinking of it). I am watching the story of Lindbergh and his flight across the Atlantic for the 20th time-that man is in my top five heroes. One man, on his own, who did what no other had done before him. No government sponsorship or oversight, no professional training other than what he provided himself as a mail jockey and barnstormer. He did it all alone, or at least as an individual.
We’ll never see his like again, because the times which could produce a Lindbergh are gone. Now everybody tries to see who can be the biggest victim, the most “helpless” and therefore irresponsible for their actions. Everybody needs, or wants, Big Daddy Government’s hand-outs (taken mostly from those who still soldier on, trying to live up to ethics this world no longer believes in).
It makes me sick that a country which just a few decades ago could produce a Lindbergh, has chipped and chipped away at its own foundations
until the whole edifice is about to implode.
There was a meeting today where Rep.Cantor scolded Committee Chairmen for voting against the farm bill.

This is corporate welfare. We really shouldn’t even have an entire department dedicated to agriculture. A bureau as a part of the Interior Department should suffice. Or, better yet, let the several states handle these issues and encourage those states to communicate and coordinate on important issues or projects.
It is about MONEY! MONEY...MONEY...MONEY...and to Hell with the citizens who have to pay for this monstrosity! Congress is no longer representing the people.

The banks administering the program are making a fortune on it too.
