I keep telling you--this is the doings of the Bush women who are too lazy to take care of their homes and families, and too cheap to hire on someone honestly to do the work for them.

I saw this when I lived in Texas. Upper class, essentially useless and shiftless women who dressed well and pretty much did nothing else. Well, maybe went to the gym. They had Umberto to do the lawn, Manuela to do the house, and ate out a lot. People, particularly women from the middle classes, sneered at them for keeping slaves in their basement. It used to be that rich women were ashamed of exploiting illegals, but now Laura and Bar and the Insufferable Twins want us to praise them them for being shiftless.

A lot of fans here of Laura. Did you know she's also pro abortion and pro same sex marriage? And I'm sure Cindy McCain hasn't scrubbed a toilet in her whole drug-addled life!

A lot of the RINO problem is simply the wives of the RINOS.

I think this might be true of some of the “upper echelon” Texas elite class. (And may actually be a BIG problem with the entire republican party RINO class). My question, why aren’t the Republican men solid enough in their beliefs to stand up to their wives? If their wives are getting their values from glossy magazines filled with politically correct garbage ideas, and from what all the other junior League wives agree is the politically correct bandwagon du jour, still, the men should stand up and say NO, that is wrong, that is immoral, that will lead to the decay of families and of our country.

We need strong men of character who will not be pushed around by their wives, even if they want to be invited to the best cocktail parties, etc. We need true, godly Christian men of righteousness who are servant leaders of their families as well as of the people the represent, who aren’t afraid of saying no to their spoiled wives. We need to pray that the wives of our representatives will be saved and their hearts will turn back to Christ, that they will be an influence of GOOD and not evil on their husbands.

Your post is classic class warfare - blaming the rich people for simply living up to their means. If you have enough money to buy somebody’s labor, why would you need to scrub the damn toilet?

I always felt that Bush wanted sooooo much to be ‘liked’, that he bent over backwards (to Kennedy), to hiring (Paulson - a Rat at Treasury)... and to the Arabs (Iraq invasion was conducted in a ‘politically-correct’ fashion with the least amount of ground forces possible, that’s why the borders were porous and the insurgency took hold and the ‘surge’ was needed later).

The guy was never nothing more than a well-connected clueless politically-correct make-believe-conservative. Just like his entire family.

Back in the old days, they would’ve been Kennedy Democrats.
