“Forward”... It’s just another deliberate incremental slip towards a Godless society, pure and simple, and not an innocent omission. It IS a big deal. Yes, on some level it has created discussion, but discussion with no action to roll back this insidious form of culture creep is meaningless in the end.

Actually, discussions about futility however engendered are potential gospel openings. That was the great point of Ecclesiastes; Solomon didn’t have the gospel but he did have the revelation that the “I Am” had furnished to that date and concluded that everything just went in meaningless circles, even if it makes perfunctory salutes to God, unless God was fully enthroned as master.
