President Barack Obama is "deeply concerned" by the Egyptian Armed Forces' decision to remove President Mohamed Morsi from power Wednesday and hopes to see the military quickly return authority to a democratic government.
"The United States is monitoring the very fluid situation in Egypt, and we believe that ultimately the future of Egypt can only be determined by the Egyptian people," Obama said in a statement released nearly four hours after the Egyptian military announced it had removed Morsi from his post. Obama spent part of the afternoon leading a meeting in the Situation Room with members of his national security team, including Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and National Security Adviser Susan Rice, who started her current job on Monday.
"Nevertheless, we are deeply concerned by the decision of the Egyptian Armed Forces to remove President Morsi and suspend the Egyptian constitution. I now call on the Egyptian military to move quickly and responsibly to return full authority back to a democratically elected civilian government as soon as possible through an inclusive and transparent process, and to avoid any arbitrary arrests of President Morsi and his supporters," he continued.

.not surprising of a response from Obama
I don’t buy it. He supported ElBaredai in the beginning and now that’s the first name being floated.
Did he read about it in the newspaper?
Makes me feel so safe knowing those dim bulbs are on job.
Naturally he’s upset. Imagine if in the US we started throwing out lying Islamists?
Look over your shoulder Obama, you never know what tomorrow might bring.
worried cuz........he’s gonna come home and the muslim brotherhood is going to be sitting on the whitehouse steps.
Of course he’s “deeply concerned” - Morsi is one of his buddies.
The Military is also stopping the Muslim Brotherhood members from leaving the country , LOL , the military knows who you are and where you live hehe
The United States is monitoring the very fluid situation in Egypt on facebook, email and cellphone calls....
and to avoid any arbitrary arrests of President Morsi and his supporters,” he continued.
I'm sure he is... now he's going to have to spend another $3 billion to try and get another radical Muslim elected.
Arrest morsi - and shoot him while he attempts to escape. That’s the only way to go with a dictator.
The Venezuelan army let Chavez go (in response to US pleas) after removing him and in no time at all he was back, many of the army went to jail or were removed, and he clamped down with a Marxist dictatorship that destroyed VZ.
That has actually happened in several Latin American countries where the people and the military ousted a leftist and, because they failed to kill him, he got back into power, often at the behest of the US or the UN. Naturally, he swore he’d be a good boy, and naturally he immediately purged the resistance forces and locked the country down.
The lesson: when you have the dictator in your hands, kill him right then and there. And then feed his remains to the sharks just to make sure.
How does one say “F U B O” in Arabic?
I feel the same as you. Once I heard the scum waiting in the wings, I have to wonder. I keep thinking about the ultimate battle being between the leftists and the Islamists. Even though they seem to be in bed together now, perhaps something is happening here we have yet to comprehend!
Chili did it right with Gen. Pinochet. IMO
Huma and Hillary will likely have a special “session” tonight.
Who would really miss them...??
That Soetoro kid would really miss them...
Solyndra... Tesla... MB... ad nauseam
A certain coveted & historic legacy is being quickly reduced to two simple words: "Tough Sh*t"
Yeah, Barack, I saw where you where coming from when Honduras, by their own laws, took care of Zelaya when he tried to become president for life. I see it now in your "concern" for the ouster of Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood--while its not the same as what happened in Honduras, the circumstances leading up to what happened in Egypt are eerily similar to what your own administration is doing, i.e., you won the election, but your policies are all aimed at solidifying power in contravention of the democratic process.
So, Barack, is the "concern" for the deposing of your Muslim Brotherhood buddies, or because it could portend something in your future if you continue your lawless ways?
The only thing nobama is really “deeply concerned” about is whether or not justice will catch him and if he will be imprisoned for the rest of his destructive, worthless existence.
He sees it as a glimmer, a foreshadowing of his future perhaps?
ElBaredai is a “moderate” muslim and global socialist (Happy face caliphist) and he has all the right friends like George Soros, Kofi Annan, Sandy Berger, and just about every far left state department official going back to the Carter administration.
He’s the perfect transitional leader to put off the inevitable war between the globalists and the caliphists.
Zero can’t get Egypt to attack Israel as fast as he had planned.
Maybe he’ll have a stroke or something.
Joint Chiefs of Staff?
Afraid they might take a hint from Egypt?
After all - it is quite inconsiderate of the Egyptians to cause a ruckus while the King and Queen are are touring their African Provinces.
Only because it might happen here when the usurper does not step down after being impeached...
Egypt is now short one muslim president and we have one too many.
Maybe we can work out a deal.
Well, Clinton have been giving them aids and comfort since his governor days...
I’ve been deeply concerned for 4.5 yrs that this A-Hole is the POTUS.
Barry Sotero is possibly one of the least accomplished, worthless humans who has ever lived. And to think that he became head of what was once the most powerful nation in the world. Pretty depressing.
These guys are not understanding the Liberal Agenda! Must sell more NY Times to them.
I didn’t even know Barry was back from his African Adventure?
A traitor in every sense.
Little barry bastard boy needs to shut up and take a low profile. At least Morsi was constitutionally eligible to hold the office before making of himself a criminal to be removed ...
Obama shouldn’t be wasting his time making empty statements now, he should be doing everything possible to get our embassy personnel out of Cairo as quickly as possible.
The millions of Egyptians cheering Morsi’s overthrow must despise Obama for putting him into office, so everything should be done to protect our people.
The last thing we need is for another U.S. ambassador to go down Benghazi style and have to listen to Susan Rice lying her way through another full Ginzberg on the talk shows this Sunday.
McCain should be chiming in soon to propose a “no fly zone” and bombing campaign.
Oh, so he reveres constitutions, does he? Funny-he considers ours an impediment. Or....perhaps it’s the image of a military removing a President that gives him a cold, creepy feeling? Hmmm.....It’s how people have removed unwanted ‘rulers’ for millennia.
Obama’s probably scared the same thing can happen to him..oh I wish it could
Of course he is. Along with Zero, Hillary, Rino’s and the liberal media
bet the ranch on the “Arab Spring” with the radical Muslim Brotherhood.
It appears all made terrible decisions.
Yes and I’m deeply concerned this poser is still in the White House!
