President Barack Obama is "deeply concerned" by the Egyptian Armed Forces' decision to remove President Mohamed Morsi from power Wednesday and hopes to see the military quickly return authority to a democratic government.
"The United States is monitoring the very fluid situation in Egypt, and we believe that ultimately the future of Egypt can only be determined by the Egyptian people," Obama said in a statement released nearly four hours after the Egyptian military announced it had removed Morsi from his post. Obama spent part of the afternoon leading a meeting in the Situation Room with members of his national security team, including Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and National Security Adviser Susan Rice, who started her current job on Monday.
"Nevertheless, we are deeply concerned by the decision of the Egyptian Armed Forces to remove President Morsi and suspend the Egyptian constitution. I now call on the Egyptian military to move quickly and responsibly to return full authority back to a democratically elected civilian government as soon as possible through an inclusive and transparent process, and to avoid any arbitrary arrests of President Morsi and his supporters," he continued.

.not surprising of a response from Obama
I don’t buy it. He supported ElBaredai in the beginning and now that’s the first name being floated.
Did he read about it in the newspaper?
Makes me feel so safe knowing those dim bulbs are on job.
Naturally he’s upset. Imagine if in the US we started throwing out lying Islamists?
Look over your shoulder Obama, you never know what tomorrow might bring.
worried cuz........he’s gonna come home and the muslim brotherhood is going to be sitting on the whitehouse steps.
Of course he’s “deeply concerned” - Morsi is one of his buddies.
The Military is also stopping the Muslim Brotherhood members from leaving the country , LOL , the military knows who you are and where you live hehe
The United States is monitoring the very fluid situation in Egypt on facebook, email and cellphone calls....
and to avoid any arbitrary arrests of President Morsi and his supporters,” he continued.
I'm sure he is... now he's going to have to spend another $3 billion to try and get another radical Muslim elected.
Arrest morsi - and shoot him while he attempts to escape. That’s the only way to go with a dictator.
The Venezuelan army let Chavez go (in response to US pleas) after removing him and in no time at all he was back, many of the army went to jail or were removed, and he clamped down with a Marxist dictatorship that destroyed VZ.
That has actually happened in several Latin American countries where the people and the military ousted a leftist and, because they failed to kill him, he got back into power, often at the behest of the US or the UN. Naturally, he swore he’d be a good boy, and naturally he immediately purged the resistance forces and locked the country down.
The lesson: when you have the dictator in your hands, kill him right then and there. And then feed his remains to the sharks just to make sure.
How does one say “F U B O” in Arabic?
I feel the same as you. Once I heard the scum waiting in the wings, I have to wonder. I keep thinking about the ultimate battle being between the leftists and the Islamists. Even though they seem to be in bed together now, perhaps something is happening here we have yet to comprehend!
Chili did it right with Gen. Pinochet. IMO
