Graham, McCain, Corker, [Rubio, et al] Targeted by Tea Party for Immigration Vote

Tea party activists are targeting Senate Republicans who voted in favor of a controversial immigration reform bill with plans to pack town hall meetings and jam phone lines over the 4th of July holiday, Politico reports.

"The anger is more intense now than it was in 2010," said Judson Phillips, founder of Tea Party Nation. "They are more upset about the amnesty bill than they were about Obamacare."

Amy Kremer, chairwoman of Tea Party Express, predicts some lawmakers will avoid public appearances during the holiday to sidestep embarrassing showdowns with an angry conservative base. Senators don't want a repeat of videotaped town hall meetings in previous years that showed haughty lawmakers in shouting matches with angry constituents.

But Republican Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee, whose amendment on border control convinced 14 in his party to support the omnibus bill, thinks those who opposed the measure will face a bigger backlash from voters.

"Once they understand what this amendment really does — in spite of the demagoguing of some of my colleagues — I think they’ll say: 'wait a minute. So people voted against 20,000 border patrol agents?'" Corker said.

The immigration bill approved by the Senate last week on a vote of 68 to 32, would grant amnesty to 11 million illegal immigrants. Corker's border security was criticized by Republicans opposing the bill for making half-hearted efforts like authorizing 20,000 new agents, but not authorizing funding to pay the border officials.

If the twit, Corker, thinks Big Sis Napolitano is going to hire 20,000 border agents because he, Juan McCain, and Linseed Graham said so, he is too stupid to hold his office.

Wow. What good is 20K more border agents when you support amnesty for everybody who makes it through.

In their hearts , they really believe they are doing the right thing.

Sadly, far too many agree, most of them illegals and their supporters.

Man, this Corker guy is in his own league of stupid. He must have fallen out of the RINO nest and hit every branch on the way down.
How do such air-headed goons become senators? I can almost understand people like McLame who can always overplay the ‘war hero’ card despite betraying the country on Capitol Hill almost daily, but Corker? Where did this loser come from, and why was there nobody more conservative to challenge him?

We have to send him a message.

Lamar Alexander must be primaried.

For the most part, politicians go into politics because they can’t cut it in the private sector and politics are short cut to prestige, power and money. A few of them are really true believers, who really think that they can make a difference, but those are few and far between.

Remember when Lindsey Graham was working the Impeachment Committee and we all admired him? Well, that was before the Democrats found out he was Gay and that he had served as a JAG. After that, Graham could never be counted on when we needed him most.

Those traitors are fortunate that’s all they’re getting.

Our forefathers would have shot them.

McCain is very old. I guess he wants to finish destroying this country. He started in Hanoi.

Graham’s one vote on the committee is what kept Clinton in office.

Not one of them will care. They have special interests behind the scenes making sure they are protected...especially Graham who is doing everything in his power to scare away any tea party rivals for a primary.

South Carolina and Arizona MUST wake up and send a message. I am afraid the outrage won’t be enough for Rubio as he has a good network he has developed in Florida with the Hispanic communities that his seat is likely safe. We need to get John and Lindsey the hell out of there as they instigate all of this crap.

We need to follow the lead of the Mainstream GOP and run candidates in primary races to oppose Republican incumbents if they disagree or oppose Tea Party principles, and run independent or third party candidates against Republican incumbents if we can't bump them out in the primaries.
And do this for Senate and House and Gubernatorial races and as many other races as we have courageous, principled men and women who dare to oppose totalitarian government.

Well, if they get rid of McCain, who else can continue to teach Obama how to whistle! He talks with that same whistle between his teeth as McCain.
