Again, if RaceCard Reverands would shut the hell up, racism would be gone in two generations. My parents were race concious. It means little to me. It means almost nothing to my kids. It WOULD mean nothing to my kids...if they didn't see ignorant people like this getting racist about white people.
It is not about race. It is about CULTURE. If you are racist, you are racist, and your culture is broken. Make drug-dazed, women-hating men who rhyme well rich by buying their filth? Your culture is broken. Don't help the cops in your neighborhood catch the bad guys? Your culture is broken. Make EXCUSES for ignorant young black men who get girls pregnant and abandon them? Your culture is broken. Reject young people who try to get a good education and make themselves rich as "not being black enough"? Your culture is broken. (Especially because THAT says, "being poor and living off the work of others" is somehow "more black"? Can't you see the horrible, horrible irony of this?) How am I supposed to "respect" your culture if your culture doesn't RESPECT ITSELF!?

What would they have done to Dusty Springfield, or Hall & Oates? /sarcasm;)

Bingo! This is a culture war, not a race war. (The other side wants it to be a race war, and I don’t think they understand the difference...)

Well they had money, so Jesse would demand a donation for their insolence.

I wish somebody would assault the obnoxious white saxophonist who practices free form jazz on the streets around here. I wrote once, how he once assaulted me.

Most Blues transportation is a Greyhound bus or a southbound train. Here, the transportation is an oil tanker. However, this isn't really a blues song, even though it calls itself one.

That's awesome...never saw that before...:)
"...You cant have a Blues death if you die during a tennis match or while getting liposuction..."
Hahahahahahahahahahaha...don't know why that tickled me so.

"Minnie the Moocher" was probably inspired by
Minnie the Mermaid by Bernie Cummins & His Hotel New Yorker Orchestra (1930).
Here's the follow-on to "Minnie the Moocher." Believe it or not, Harold Arlen, its writer, would later write "Over the Rainbow," a big hit in 1939 that is still popular.
Kicking the Gong Around--Cab Calloway & His Cotton Club Orchestra (1931)

Most Blues songs begin with: Woke up this morning....
The second line usually has to do with something bad
happening, like,
Woke up this morning . . . rain was pouring down. Sometimes blues songs can be about good things--like running a profitable farm during an economic depression.
No Hard Times--Jimmie Rodgers (1932)

In one blues song, the mode of transportation is a Soviet satellite.
