I read about them. They are women, they still have functional vagina-cervix-uterus-fallopian tubes-ovaries, the whole works. They also had beards, male-pattern body hair, flat chests, and rather masculine musculature and facial features --due to the wonders of maiming surgery and hormonal shape-shifting.

It is quite wrong, though to refer to them as men. They were/are women who have impaired themselves (at least, lactationally, not to mention socially and psychologically), while taking on some masculine secondary characteristics.
