It is quite wrong, though to refer to them as men. They were/are women who have impaired themselves (at least, lactationally, not to mention socially and psychologically), while taking on some masculine secondary characteristics.

My post was unclear. I meant that Anne Heche had been married to one man, and then another, and then had a baby, etc., there being no question of her having been a woman the whole time.
You’re right about the “men” who’ve had babies: they’re no more “men” than RuPaul is a “woman.”
