DALLAS (Reuters) - Texas Governor Rick Perry made a highly personal criticism on Thursday of the state senator who thwarted a Republican proposal to restrict abortion, saying she had not learned from her own experience as a teenage mother born to a single mother.

In a speech to the largest anti-abortion group in the United States, Perry also accused abortion rights supporters and Democrat Wendy Davis, who talked for more than 10 hours on Tuesday to block the abortion bill, of hijacking the democratic process.

Frankly, it was not all that personal— I’d like it to get personal. Who is this vicious cats paw with that ugly mole on her face? Who is paying for her efforts? And all those Mary of the Sorrows photos on google image— as if she’s the holy mother?

and this is somehow supposed to quell the desires of Christian conservatives.

ban it entirely and fight the court cases. if you lose, ban it again and fight the court cases again. and repeat.

We are in the midst of a culture war fighting an enemy so egregious that it is willing to kill innocent children.

Wendy will be standing a lot longer than 10 hours [without water or a potty break] if she goes to hell...

Would Perry have been a better presidential candidate than Romney in 2012?

Other than his debate meltdown, it’s looking like it...

. . . Perry made a highly personal criticism . . .

I for one am highly offended . . . by the crap that passes for journalism in the People's Republic of America.

Would Perry have been a better presidential candidate than Romney in 2012?

Perry is getting better, but please remember he was still a Democrat in 89 long after the Reagan Revolution, supporting Gore in 88. He was a C student at a&m and has never had a job except working for his father and being a politician.

Yes and her fellow pro-baby death loving comrades if dying unrepentant will have aborted themselves right out of heaven forever while all those murdered babies will enjoy God’s Paradise eternal.

Yeah, that article is about as unbiased as the Barack Obama Marxist Youth Brigade.

Thank God for leaders like Rick Perry who will stand up for those who are silenced by their misinformed mothers and the greedy, heartless bastards that take their money (and the taxpayers’).

NOW is the time to protest the civil rights of the babies. With graphic posters and words. We need to frame this argument as THE civil rights issue of the 21st century. There are so many parallels to the abolition fight. Babies are being denied their personhood and therefore their right to Life, just as slaves were said to be not fully human in a rights sense. Lord please bless Governor Perry’s efforts and show us how we can help.

The impact of Perry's inability to debate cannot be trivialized, especially when one considers he failed so miserably while debating his fellow Republicans.

There is nothing about Romney that I like. He did, however, do something Perry never could have and that was to wipe the floor with the community organizer in debate one. he also held his own in the other two in spite of the best efforts of the leftist media hacks who worked hard to assist Barry in his efforts to avoid a repeat of debate one.

Hopefully, the anti-abortion folks are learning about
incrementalism from the left and pushing back the same way.
Push, push, push back....

First, no abortions after 5 months, then 12 weeks, then 8, etc.

Would help to broadly post pix of developing babies all over the internet and along the sides of highways.

God bless us all.

A PRIVATE company job where a profit must be made. The Air Force gets a government pay check just like Land Commissioner or Governor.

If you don't understand the difference I recommend ECO 101 at your local JC.

You’re so right about the babies in heaven, and how sad for them that many of their mothers will never repent, and so not only were they cheated out of an earthly existence, but they’ll be cheated out of spending eternity with their mothers. One wonders if Wendy or Nancy or Kathleen or or or has a murdered child (or 2?) eagerly awaiting their apologies.
