I agree. When I was there, its like I was back in L.A., but in a desert environment. Too lib for my taste.
Santa Fe is as wacky as it gets. Being in LA, you could survive there, though.
BTW, there are some conservative movie people in SF.

Santa Fe is wacko because of all the artsy-fartsy imports from NY and CA. They are utterly detached from reality. I guess they were drawn in by Georgia O'Keeffe's labia art. Santa Fe is now just plain unaffordable. New Mexico used to be much more conservative overall. Remember that just because a small town like Santa Fe is the state capital, that doesn't mean the whole state is crazy Left. A loosely-organized coalition of activists
stopped ALL gun control legislation in New Mexico during the 2013 legislative session. I was amazed at how many people joined in. Remember there are a lot of free-thinkers of the go-west style here (old rancheros and new-generation frontiersmen -- even techies), and we have many military installations and 2 of the U.S.'s highest profile defense-related research labs.

Oh, yeah. One of my closest friends in the biz lives near Castro, and just heads to L.A. if he has some projects for the Travel Channel as an exec producer. Our agreement is that he won’t criticize me for living close to W Hollywood aka Fagtown and I won’t get on him for living near Castro.

(fired liberals in our company after the election, & laughed while they cried (true story))
