If I were a liberal Democrat in Washington, I’d be peeing in everyone’s face too.

Experience teaches us that it is much easier to prevent an enemy from posting themselves than it is to dislodge them after they have got possession.

Thank you Norm, now we are getting somewhere. Washington was a military man, as am I. His quote makes perfect sense in a military context. You do not want your enemy to have time to prepare their defensive position. In 18th century parlance this meant time to throw up defensive works, to fortify strongpoints and to reinforce them with great guns. Far better to catch them in open formation, on an unprepared field and unable to thwart your advance. Good advice.

It has nothing to do with the choice of voting for an avowed Communist or a Republican who is calibrated with the left leaning electorate of a State like Massachusetts.

What else do you have in your quiver, Norm? Fire away.

Duck duck goose. He was the President. He made the quote. You make excuses. We all see it. You are pathetic.

Have fun making more excuses until you actually answer if he was right or wrong without pretending to be Bill Clinton and parsing his words.

I’ll check back later but I only expect more of the same.

Gomez was a threat in supporting amnesty. He has held a real job. You have a guy with a real job promoting the gang of 8 amnesty.

It is much easier dealing with Community College Rube and McCain.

Imagine if the gang could get McCain, Schumer and Rubio to shut up for 5 minutes and not reveal the plot.

Norm,

He made those comments as a military man. I am completely in agreement with his comments. He was right, clearly. But, he was talking about military matters. Please let us know what your military experience might be. I served as an infantry officer for 25 years including command of troops in combat, so I am able to place his comments in perfect context.

Tell me how this relates to politics. It is a very different game my friend.

I’d rather imagine that by some miracle ‘conservatives’ on FR would stop extolling the virtues of putting more idiots like thsn into power.

I agree with you 100%. The reason why conservative Democrats vote with their party on every vote that counts is because their party has leadership. You may not like the leadership, but the democrats have a number of senators/congressmen who do lead even if they are not in the official leadership. The democrats are disciplined and focused.

The Republicans (sigh) have very little leadership, are unfocused and undisciplined because they do not know what their principles are anymore. It's lifeless, listless with little knowledge as to how to communicate anything to the public. It is just a pathetic and lowly group of republicans in Congress.

I agree with you that I could care less who won. Gomez is not a gifted politician at all and I think the republicans are better off with him not winning since Gomez would have muddied what little message the republicans will generate in the future.

This amnesty bill is a make it or break it with me in regards to whether I will ever vote for a republican again. Franky, I am sick and tired of being betrayed and lied to by the republican politicians.

Did he stop believing them the day he took office? Yes or no? Did they stop being true the day he took office? Yes or no?

There’s your ‘context’

Bedtime for me. Try to stop ducking and parsing your way around the issue. That’s what liberals do.

I love Boston, and if we could afford it, which we can’t....even dumps are expensive...would be nice to live there. Luckily there are things like this that remind me of what I am definitely not missing. The area is a Dem lost cause.

In reply to this statement, "We either get the nut Democrat that votes 100% with Obummer or we get a RINO that we can count on sometimes," you wrote, "And voters like you filled congress with the very RINOS that are about to pass amnesty and end America. Thanks."

it's now crystal clear that you support Democrats that vote 100% with Obama. Thanks for clearing that up, Norm. /s

Tell me does the Stupid Burn?
I really want to know.
So many excuses that I hear,
Just bouncing to and fro

I hear it’s quite conservative
And rainbows lead the way
In front of tanks and planes and bombs,
To make our soldiers Gay

Likewise today around the right,
Lets make a choice severe,
Abort unwanted children,
Adopt them to a queer!

And what about the guns you own?
What did supporters say?
It truly must be Reaganesque,
To take them all away!

For shame the bitter clingers,
With Bibles by the bed.
Believe instead in Steve and Bob,
Whose right we’ll make to wed.

Such was the choice the GOP,
Bequeathed to us to vote.
Our patriotic duty,
Just hold your nose and choke.

Alas I am not stupid.
I do not feel the burn.
But come election season,
I fear they will not learn.

Another leftist RINO,
Or Democrat they’ll pass
Upon the the right wing public,

Well they can kiss my ass.

I didn’t vote for McCain in 2008 and would not have voted for President if there were no third party candidates.

Gomez 1,849 (38%) Markey 2,942 (61%)

Gee, so much for the freeper theory that we'll magically get a higher percentage of the "hispanic" vote just by putting someone with a spanish sounding last name on the ballot, regardless of his whether he has anything in common with "hispanic" voters in the area he's running.

In other shocking news, John Edwards, a white southerner, didn't win over other white southerners in his Presidential bids. How can that be!?
