The U.S. Army is slashing the number of combat brigades from 45 to 33, and shifting thousands of soldiers out of bases around the county as it moves forward with the long-planned move to cut the size of the service by 80,000...
at 10 Army bases in the U.S. by 2017, including in Texas, Kentucky, Colorado, North Carolina, New York, Kansas and Washington.

Budget cuts ? Give me a break
Something is very wrong with this picture .
America needs to WAKE UP
Unfortunately, the number of female and rainbow RAMBOs will only increase by percentage.
I got an idea, how bout we defund the NSA and let Booz Allen find another nipple.
I bet you won’t see them cutting any DHS forces.
Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) has been advised one of three STRYKER brigades are getting cut.
Just the start.
Russia building their Forces.
China building their forces.
Iran building a Nuke and their forces.
Mid East in an uproar.
N Korea a threat.. Obama’s answer. Cut our forces by 80,000
Fill that 80,000 with Super Combat women, and queers. Invite Syrian refugees, allow anything and anybody to cross our borders.Offer to cut our Nuclear defenses. Go on a 100 million dollar vacation.
Well, the Obama vacation(s) and Muslim Brotherhood supporting money has got to come from somewhere.
In times like these a shrinking standing army might not be the worst thing.
Unfortunately, Congress, particularly the “conservative” House, doesn’t seem to give a damn.
The WH can’t afford to keep the tour guides for the WH, but they can spend $100 MILLION so that Moochelle can go watch wild elephants?
Due to the homosexualization and the feminization of the military I believe the Defense department is necessarily replacing most of the ground combat strength with drones, including all Spec Forces. ow successful that is will be seen. It may bring some spectacular early success but it leaves us with the same old problem, close control of real estate. Ultimately I think drones will prove far mor effective in suppression of domestic dissent than in winning external wars. That is a major developing mission of the 21st Century military anyhow, suppression of internal dissent. The armed forces of the USA are evolving toward a wholly electronicised Army,Navy, and Air Force and infantry power will be provided by the armed Agencies, esoecuakkt TSA abd FEMA, probably as separate arms to be checks against each other in the new balancing of powers.
In times like these a shrinking standing army might not be the worst thing.
The US Military is increasingly being used to further the goals of the New World Order/One World Government.
“In times like these a shrinking standing army might not be the worst thing.”
I was going to post “In Before the We’ve-got-nothing-to-worry-about” “Conservatives”, but I see I was too late.
What threats do you see?
The southern border is the only real threat that I see.
The standing army is actually expanding by leaps and bounds. The standing army of today consists of TSA, FEMA, FBI, Forest Service and, probably portions of every Agency and Bureau. As the direct combat units are shrunk the 2nd hand military is growing- the geeks playing their video games that blow up people around the world.
Drones are the future of the real Terror. They will be developed to the point that they can reliable strike down individuals in the midst of crowds without being detected. Then they will be used against individual dissenters and small compact groups no matter who is in the White House or Congress. It is a matter of wealth and ability. If it can be done it will be done.
You clearly missed my point, totally.

Yes, of course. Obviously. My apologies.
Good points.
“What threats do you see?”
Post #7 sums it up fairly well.
I’m not the only one here with the same reaction.
