Snowden Snowballs Into Colossal Embarrassment for Obama and his Foreign Policy
PJ Media ^ | June 24, 2013

Posted on 06/25/2013 4:09:34 AM PDT by NCjim

Not even a week ago, President Obama was at the Berlin Wall vowing to scale back the U.S. arsenal in good faith that Moscow would follow suit in “negotiated cuts.”

Before that, Obama was meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping in Palm Springs for a bilateral sit-down that he confidently branded as a positive step forward in U.S.-China relations.

Buoyed by NSA leaker Edward Snowden’s revelations of U.S. intelligence activities and after reportedly milking the hard drives of four laptops he carried into his Hong Kong hotel, the Chinese government defied a Washington extradition request and let Snowden leave the former British territory.

Once safely at the airport in Moscow, his U.S. passport revoked, Snowden had cover from Russia as he obtained financial and legal assistance from WikiLeaks and petitioned Ecuador for asylum.

Even if the Ecuador claim is intended to throw pursuers off his trail, any number of countries less than friendly with the Obama administration may be lining up to give the former NSA contractor safe haven. Considering Snowden was charged under the Espionage Act, there are enough political loopholes in extradition treaties to ensure the administration will have a hard time getting him back.

And considering these disastrous turns for a president who declared first-term success in improving America’s image across the globe while resetting relations with old foes, America’s superpower image has taken a super hit with these Snowden snubs.

“We understand that he departed Hong Kong yesterday and that he arrived in Russia. Beyond that, I would refer you with regards to his whereabouts to Russian authorities,” a testy Jay Carney told reporters at the White House briefing today.

Obama and his hired thugs have not had a chance to kill him, yet.
Benghazi comes to mind.

We don’t hear a peep from the Leftist loud-mouths who were sure that Pres. Bush made the world hate the U.S. and said The Won would turn that hate to love.

He is The Worst President Ever.

One part I find hilarious is that the day it broke NPR was reporting how naive and, well, kinda dumb he was for going to Hong Kong. :-)

A-n-o-t-h-e-r Ohaha/Holder screwup? (laughing up sleeve)

The stench from their crimes/screw-ups stretches far and wide (naming names just to keep them front and center):

<><> there's the Benghazi stench

<><> Hillary's state dept's coverup of sex scandals---obstructing justice---scrubbing investigations

<><> Holder's DOJ stenches (AP--Rosen--PLUS holder suggesting he monitored USSC and Congress' Verizon blackberries)

<><> stench-a-rama: IRS targeting (enraging the legions of IRS haters)

<><> IRS stealing 60 thousand medical records

<><> HHS' Sibelius strong-arming Obamacare insurance providers for money

<><> NSA snooping---infuriating millions of young twitter/facebook users

<><> IRS sending $45 Million/that's 32,000 EITC refunds to illegals at ONE address.

<><> Letting Snowden globe-trot w/ US secrets (next stop Ecuador--gets $35M US tax dollars---Us has no diplo there; Ecuador threw out our rep b/c he reported it was grossly corrupt.

<><> EPA using phantom email accounts

<><> Fast and Furious Holder gun-running that armed savage drug cartels, and got two American border patrol agents killed.

=======================================================

Snowden's no hero-----but he's making Obama and Holden look like the idiots they are.....guy is globe-trotting, using US secrets as trading cards.....and O/Holder can't seem to do a dam thing about it.

=====================================================

WHY ECUADOR? Snowden seeks asylum in Ecuador. You can bet Ohaha wont queer that deal. Ecuadorians are Third World latinos---O needs them to stay in power another 10-20 years. Wiki leaker Julian Assange is staying at Ecuador's embassy in Britain.

BTW, the US has no diplos in Ecuador---they threw out the one we had b/c our diplo squealed on their corruption and heroin drug-running.....but Ecuador still gets some $35 million foreign aid from the US.

He is The Worst President Ever.

That is a hotly contested claim! I would nominate FDR, LBJ, and Jimmy Carter as serious contenders for the title, although 0 has the advantage over dismal Jimmy in that Carter only had one term to screw up the country.

Time for another ridiculously expensive taxpayer funded vacation for the Ohaha family......

Btw, the $100 million African vacation does not include the million dollar giveaways to corrupt African dictators under the guise of "encouraging democracy" in countries w/strong-arm military dictatorships.

And besides, Ohaha wants to make sure US tax dollars were spent wisely.

WHAT'S THAT? YOU MISSED THIS? $823,200 of economic stimulus funds in 2009 went to a UCLA research team to teach African men how to wash their genitals after having sex. NIH wanted to evaluate the feasibility of a post-coital genital hygiene program.

The genitalia-washing program is part of a larger $12-million UCLA study examining how to better encourage Africans to undergo HIV testing and counseling – however, only the penis-washing received money from the 2009 economic stimulus law. The tax-paid genitalia washing was set to end in 2011.

===========================================

(Sob) Obama compassionately solved the dirty sex organ crisis.
Now he's on to Africa to finance Phase Two.

Obama is transporting to Africa thousands of taxpaid ***-washers attached to power hoses.

And still no one stops him.

Snowden's no hero

Same could be said of Paul Revere, Sam Adams, Thomas Jefferson, etc. by the British 237 years ago.

Either we have a 4th Amendment or we don't. If we have one, then what the government is doing is clearly unconstitutional, and falls under the heading of "illegal actions of a tyrannical police state." Or if we don't then it falls under the heading of "expected actions of a tyrannical police state."

I've listened to pompous sanctimonious government blowhards blathering about what Snowden did "hurting our security" all week. First I don't believe a word of their sh!t. Any terrorist with the intelligence of an 0bama voter would realize that emails and cell phone conversations are subject to interception. No what really burns their a$$es is that they got caught doing soething that is clearly illegal. SO they're blowing pink smoke up everyone's backside as fast as they can with the "national security" bull squeeze to distract from the fact that what they are doing is WRONG. The 4th Amendment doesn't say people shall be secure etc. EXCEPT WHEN THE GOVERNMENT DEEMS IT TO BE IN THE GOVERNMENT'S INTEREST FOR THEM NOT TO HAVE THESE RIGHTS. No. it says

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
The government has been carving away at this ever since it was written, but this wholesale spying throw the thing out altogether.

“There’s something wrong with this whole mess, from the prospective of security.”.

Ya think?????

Says a lot about how the NSA screens their prospective vendors and vendor’s staff. A high school drop out making six figures plus, top secret security level, traveling around the world (that gets expensive so who paid for all that travel?). And the list goes on. SOund like the kid was smarter than all the rest of the people above him INCLUDING the NSA.

The major reason they want him (dead or alive) is he made them all look stupid.\ so now its time for “revenge”.

Except what they did was stupid and dishonest. NO GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE EVER WANTS THE LIGHT OF DAY SHINING ON HIS STUPID AND DISHONEST ACTIONS. So yes revenge. Personally I'm enjoying the Russians and teh Chinese telling the one and his accomplices to pound sand.
