The border issue is really a distraction. We could hermetically seal the border and this would still be a disaster. The real problem is the increase in legal immigration, 47 million over 10 years vice the "normal" intake of 14 million and a doubling of guest workers--a 1.6 million increase the first year and 700,000 thereafter.

This is going to depress wages and increase unemployment for Americans. The Dems get what they want--amnesty-- and the Reps get their guest workers. They are trying to fool the public by making the issue the border.

That’s exactly right.

Also of note is that the law will not require illegals to get on obamacare under penalty of law, but it will force Americans workers to and it will force American employers to deal with it.

What do ya suppose will happen?

I am guessing that illegals will replace American workers.

Why do we offer non citizens more freedom from penury than Americans?

It’s probably lost on most of the American people, but one of the major methods of control over the people employed by the Soviets and their satellites in the 20th century, was to make “laws” and rule-making complex and deliberately tiresome—with lengthy decrees subject to interpretations that could only be made by political officers (commisars), the people we today call community organizers or cabinet officers.

So, for immigration “reform” what do we get? Today we get 23 pounds of paperwork that no one can read much less digest, and just as was true with Obamacare, “we have to pass it to find out what’s in it,” meaning the SEIU and Sothern Poverty Law Center of Janet Napolitano will tell us what’s what when the time comes.

There is no corruption like communist corruption.

Here is the toughest question you will get all day.

What makes Republicans(rinos in the Senate) enter into a deal with dems that will permanently make them an underclass in votes, tank the economy, increase unemployment, decrease wages, and go against the wishes of their electorate? Just to name a few of the many problems with the amnesty bill.

Is there any other answer other than political corruption, our elected reps taking money or other goodies?
