I don’t know what went wrong in Ms. Walorski’s race, but she had been expected to win easily and redistricting helped her a lot.
“Any chance that Lt. Col. Allan WEST will take another crack at it?”
West said he isn’t running again. He lost a district that voted for Romney.
Where’s Alan West?
Colonel West is pursuing a career in political commentary and may be writing his memoirs. Other Republicans are looking at it, including ex-state Rep. Adam Hasner.
The entire GOP: They are going to vote for amnesty in some form or another and then immediately get slaughtered in every single federal, State and local race there is.

I think Donnelly may have had a positive impact for the Dem candidate in this district. She would have to be a disaster if she loses in 2014.
Given the fraud that happened in that race, we cannot make the pronouncement that West lost.
Indiana was pretty weird that year. Mike Pence also won the governor’s race by only 49%-47%, when I figured he’d win that pretty handily.
Despite IN being GOP-leaning, 2012 was the first time since 1980 that one GOP Governor managed to succeed another. It was also the first time since 1940 that the victor received less than 50% of the vote (Democrat Henry Schricker won 49%). I expect Pence will probably do better in 2016 (presuming he doesn’t end up as a dark horse nominee on the Presidential ticket).
