"If the United States ... recognizes one of the key Syrian opposition organizations, al-Nusra, as terrorist ... how can one deliver arms to those opposition members?"

The Lessons of Inexperience.

The idiot Carter gave Iran to Islamists, not wanting to support the Shah for PC reasons. The idiot 0bama has given Libya and Egypt to the islamists, and now wants to do the same with Syria. These actions will have consequences long after the pResident is gone. Iran will have a nuclear bomb less than a generation removed from the revolution. The future in the Middle East is not pretty.

One month ago today, the senate foreign relations committee voted to intervene in Syria, on a 15 to 3 vote. 15 republicans and democrats voting to intervene. Those voting no were two antiwar pacifists democrats and 1 rightwing isolationist(Randy Paul).

For a long time now, Obama has said no to intervening in Syria.

But as more and more members of Congress have come out calling loudly to intervene, Obama had no choice but to say yes.

Let me give you a doctrinal detail on this.

NeoCon Republicans, Liberal Interventionist Democrats, Realist Republicans, and Realist Democrats all want to intervene in Syria.

Antiwar pacifist Democrats and Isolationist republicans oppose intervening in Syria.

And let me tell you something else.

The NSA issue breaks out along the same doctrinal lines.

The NeoCons(R), Liberal Interventionists(D), and Realists(R&D) support NSA's eavesdropping activity while the pacifists(D) and isolationists(R) oppose.
