“self-indulgent, anachronistic and adolescent?
Aren’t those words appropriate descriptions of anything to do with Maobama?

like all the rest of his drivel . . .. At least Hitler knew how to mesmerize and bring on the theater. If one is going to be a totalitarian thug at least they can offer up some darn good brainwashing. Of course the left has that covered by the media and schools, but hey Obama is just all lazy, thug and evil. Hitler— hard working, mesmerizing evil. Both demon spawn.

The speech was sparsely attended compared to the speech Obama had made at the same venue back in 2008 The huge crowd in Berlin in 2008, like the huge crowd by the river in Oregon, was mainly due to a big rock concert that Obama was sandwiched into.
Yes, the Berliners were very receptive to him then. They had no idea who he was, and they wanted to demonstrate that they were not in the least Nazi racists. But that speech was pretty stupid, too.

words are just words....Krauthammer is good at them but that's about all....he's back stabbed lots of solid conservatives too...
the world does not belong to the the witty, the wordy or even the smartest...it belongs to the strongest...the ones who can get their way....

With respect to the jousting between brocko and Putin, George Will (who used to be a wordsmith of some note) put it this way: “in a contest between a dilettante and a dictator, bet on the latter.”
That was one of the few coherent statements-of-fact I’ve seen credited to ol’ George in many moons.

It's hilarious how suggestible most people are. This speech was no different in quality or delivery than the original one that every media outlet praised.

Obama gave a speech in Germany this week, Krauthammer said. Was it a) a stirring defense of the United States and the concept of liberty, like Reagan and Kennedy; b) a mediocre mush of platitudes; c) the worst presidential speech on foreign affairs in memory; or d) self-indulgent, anachronistic and adolescent?
B, C, D, and trite into the bargain.

In 1963 there was “let them come to Berlin” and “Ich bin ein Berliner”.In the 1980’s there was “Mr Gobechev, tear down this wall” In 2008 and 2013 there was “gee, ain't I wonderful”.

I remember when the good doctor parroted the "eloquent, elegant" meme in re Obama.
And his speeches sound just the same to me now as when Kraut was cooing over Obama.

Obama is a light-weight. He governs with a huge chip on his shoulder, is basically a mean nasty person, and he’s probably the biggest racist we’ve had in office since LBJ (Yes, LBJ!!!). Obama’s self-indulgent speech in Germany was just a waste of time for everyone on earth. It really doesn’t matter anyway, though. Obama’s real project is turning the US into a one-party system and in that, he’s doing quite well....unfortunately. Any oposition to his his ‘big-goverment’ agenda is met with accusations of ‘racist’ and to be honest, it’s working quite well. Plus, the media gives Obama a pass on all of his corruption so, he’s covered there as well. Most people still don’t know Obama-care is really just a way to fund left-leaning organizations. It would be nice if someone who calls themselves a journalist would flesh that out a bit. Our country is doomed financially. We’re so drunk on political correctness, we can’t even do basic nath anymore in this country.
Still, I’m glad the Euros are finally figuring out Obama is an empty suit.
