Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) defended the Senate Gang of Eights immigration bill on the Andrea Tantaros Show today. Rubio on Thursday voted with most Republicans to add a security amendment offered by Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX). But that amendment went down on a mostly party-line vote. Cornyns amendment would have given border security a higher priority in the bill, and made it easier to deport illegal-alien criminals who drunk drive and are caught in domestic abuse cases, among other crimes.
Sen. Rubio claimed that the Corker-Hoeven amendment, which would beef up border security, is a dramatic improvement over the bill. Tantaros fired: If this amendment is so good, why wasnt it in the original bill?
Rubio answered that he is listening to input to try to improve the bill, and that the amendment in his judgement improves the bill.
Tantaros asked Rubio if the Democrats are using the bill to change the demographics in states like Texas to give them a lock on power. Rubio admitted that some political operatives are hoping to use the bill that his Gang of Eight is offering to do just that.
In fact, the Texas Democratic Party explicitly bases its long-term strategy on current demographic changes underway in the Lone Star State. Those changes would be accelerated if the Rubio-Schumer immigration bill becomes law. Theres no doubt that politics are involved in this, Rubio admitted as he criticized groups on the left that continue to push for less border enforcement and more government benefits for illegal aliens.
Tantaros asked Rubio about the FAIR chart showing a how a litany of crimes committed by illegal aliens would be treated. Rubio agreed that that should be fixed. He said that he would support amendments to close off those waivers, and hopes those amendments are offered in the Senate. Rubios defensive response raised the questions of whether Sen. Rubio knows what is in the bill bearing his name, and why he tells Americans that it is 95% perfect.
The Andrea Tantaros Show is produced by Fox
Is anyone even listening to Rubio anymore?
Yet he’s still all for it. Conclusion: Trojan Horse Democrat.
His chances in 2016 (and beyond) just went up in smoke.
Rubio is a schmuck. Dems are playing rope-a-dope with him.
Rubio is a rube.
Rubio got corrupted by ambition.
Pity, but D.C. has that effect.
Rubio is a traitor to conservatives.
born May 28, 1971 in Miami, FL
Parents were
Mario Rubio born in Cuba, naturalized Nov. 5, 1975.
Oria Garcia born in Cuba, naturalized Nov. 5, 1975.
Parents were NOT US Citizens at the time of his birth.
Marco Rubio is NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.
Marco's status is the same as that of Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama, who is NOT a Natural Born Citizen.
Rubio knows this yet he’s all in on giving Amnesty to millions of illegals..he allows this to happen along with the rest of the GOP, they have sealed their fate, this country will be a one party system
This has been the grand strategy for decades. The liberals know Mexicans will always vote democrat and for free stuff, same as their negro constituency.
They do not worry about any of them going R anytime in the foreseeable future.
Result is permanent liberal rule and we as a country are finished. Bury your guns now if this passes, you know what will come next when they have the votes.
We just nominated Mitt Romney, John McCain, Dubya, Bob Dole and Poppy Bush. He’d fit right in there, as would Krispy Kreme or Jon Huntsman.
I don’t know if it was after the fourth or fifth time I heard that rancid, lie-filled radio commercial of Rubio’s, but somewhere around that time, I started getting the almost uncontrollable urge to put my foot through the tv-screen whenever I see that scumbag’s face.
I swear I’ve grown to hate his guts.
Rubio is a Democrat tool.
he lost it ~ how’s the dog this afternoon?
FUMR!! TRAITOR!!
geez, maybe he’ll do Charlie Crist, change his party ID and run for prez...what are the odds????
“he lost it ~ hows the dog this afternoon?”
I don’t know, I’m at work. LOL
