Personally I suspect the NSA has been operating independently for a long time.

Can we call it a "Police State" NOW?
Yes it's a sarcastic and rhetorical question.

[“Here’s the big one,” he said. “. . .I held in my hand was to wiretap a bunch of numbers associated with a 40-something-year-old wannabe senator for Illinois. You wouldn’t happen to know where that guy lives right now would you? It’s a big white house in Washington, D.C. That’s who they went after, and that’s the president of the United States now.”]

One document would be worth a lot more than this melodramatic hype.

“Here’s the big one,” he said. “[T]his was in summer of 2004, one of the papers that I held in my hand was to wiretap a bunch of numbers associated with a 40-something-year-old wannabe senator for Illinois.

Let me guess - his dog ate those papers.

Why would he specifically remember the name of somebody, who by his own account, was a total nobody at the time?

Anyway, if he can substantiate any of this, I support locking up anybody who authorized it at any level. I suspect this is just some cotton candy to throw to the leftist loons currently stuck without a "Bush's fault" response to this particular act of lawbreaking by the Obama Administration.

I a government bureaucracy has the capability and resources to do something, there is no question that sooner or later they will do it - regardless of the Constitution, laws, rules or regulations.

The article mentions that they also did this to then senator-elect obama in 2004. I cannot help but wonder why, did they track his terrorist ties. It would explain Dick Cheney look he made during the inauguration.

Trying to get Obama off the hook. If you think spying on Americans wasn’t happening under Clinton, you’d be wrong, too! It’s been going on for years. Not saying that people within the agency are guilty of anything specifically, but we’ve had a lot of unprincipled people in these places for decades. DECADES! Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, and on it goes. But it is so over-the-top now that it is mind-boggling. And, instead of saying (arguing) that everybody has been doing it, we, the people need to say that enough is enough. We need to insist that this stuff is not kept for years or decades, that it should be more specific and warranted...not everybody, and should be related only to national security, that NOTHING can be used for ANY OTHER REASON! Penalty of law if broken. We need to start contacting our elected officials and let them know that the government has far over-reached its powers and it is time to rein it in or we will do it for them.

The Tice and Taitz razzel dazzel, is suppressing and diminishing the proven the Cold Case posse document fraud issue.

Who forged the document posted to the White House web site?
Why is a forged document required?
What is the true story?
