My brother-in-law is from Honduras. He has a niece still living there whose son David was kidnapped along with two friends about 3 or 4 years ago and they've never been seen since. The two friends were brothers and came from a wealthy family so they always traveled with a bodyguard.

It was suspected but never proven that the guard may have had something to do with it and that David was just an innocent victim since the targets were likely the two brothers.

Honduras has become very dangerous and while my brother-in-law and sister used to vacation there almost every year, they refuse to go there anymore......
