Great. Secure the border. Build the fence, stop the invasion and then we can talk about "immigration reform." ANYTHING ELSE IS BULL****. We fell for this crap once before. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ME!

The GOOBers better not fall for this a second time. "Agreements" are just like New Year's resolutions. They are made to be broken.

“Gang of Eight” senators will announce an agreement to strengthen border security." Yeah, sure. "What’s going to happen in the next few weeks, possibly by July 4th, the Senate will pass the amnesty bill. At the same time the House is going to pass a Trojan horse bill that will sound good and that will secure the borders. The problem with that is they’re both going to be sent to conference committee, where amnesty is going to be added to the Trojan horse bill. The Senate will vote yes on final passage and send it to the House. Led by Nancy Pelosi, the House Democrats will ALL vote for the bill because it will assure permanent Democratic political majority, and a few Republican committee chairs will provide the final votes needed for passage. That way the president will have amnesty for illegals and the country will be fast‑tracked to permanent progressivism." Take your "agreement" and hang onto your butts when the next election comes. Trash WILL be taken out.

And you can thank BOEHNER. He views his role as collecting votes for Obama. And the sht for brains Repubs put him back in as Speaker.

I changed my party affiliation last week. Sick of these clowns. They don’t get the job done.

That may have been a bit harsh but really, immigration is the #1 issue?

F&F, AP, IRS, NSA, Benghazi... any one of which are serious crimes by themselves warranting investigation and punishment. Any one of these is political gold. The moribund Repubs don’t do a thing about any of them. Instead they focus on advancing Obama/Democrat agenda: “immigration reform”, which is nothing but amnesty.

So actually, I wasn’t harsh enough. Not by a mile.

More from the article. (More lies!)

A second capitol hill source tells ABC News the agreement will include a major border build up, with a huge increase in border personnel and an increase in fencing. The change will mean the legislation will deliver the 70 votes desired by the bipartisan group.

They’ve already showed their hand. They intend to flood the nation with millions of people who have hopped the turnstyle and thumbed their noses at one of the most sacred institutions that forms the backbone of a nation... border security and customs enforcement. They are just trying to figure out what flavor candy coating to put on this monstrously destructive legislation.

Reminder

Marco Rubio, 2009

“I am strongly against amnesty. The most important thing we need to do is enforce our existing laws.

We have existing immigration laws that are not being adequately enforced.

Nothing will make it harder to enforce the existing laws, if you reward people who broke them.

It demoralizes people who are going through the legal process, its a very clear signal of why go through the legal process, if you can accomplish the same thing if you go through the illegal process.

And number two, if demoralizes the people enforcing the laws.

I am not, and I will never support any effort to grant blanket legalization/amnesty to folks who have entered, stayed in this country illegally.”

H/T right scoop

Can someone with contacts in the NSA put out a search for all the freepers last year who defended Perry’s no fence bs and argued about what a bad idea it was? They seem to be missing from these immigration/ocho threads.

This crap is WHY a physical fence must be built. Lib pols can and do play games with semantics on security. A fence is THERE and once built, will never be undone.

We have so many issues to deal with like this government's prosecutable overreaches aimed at the citizens, now journalists, whistleblowers and all others which seem to be designed to silence efforts to go up against this same government. Now, we are here with these liars playing games to destroy this great country forever. I see it as the wealthy becomes wealthier. The middle class will be destroyed. Class warfare like we've never seen. Terrorists coming across the border. Legal immigrants are being punished. All is good.

I see this as a coordinated two pronged attack.

The objective of the “immigration reform” prong is to regularize illegal aliens. In order to obtain this objective a token move to control the borders & ports may be offered. This token is a sop to buy votes. It will be weak, partial, temporary, virtual, and in the future. Watch for requirements to be pushed down to a commission or other administrative body rather than specified in law.

The second prong is the attack on citizenship verification. The Supreme Court just struck Arizona’s voting registration citizenship verification requirements.

States are already giving Driver Licenses to illegal aliens. This will only become more widespread and “acceptable” as a result of amnesty.

These two prongs work together to enable foreigners to register to vote and on election day produce a state issued photo-id (Driver License) and cast votes.

A vote can not be undone.

When foreigners control your government you are conquered.

Rather than control who enters the country everyone will be admitted and a Rube Goldberg process of tracking will be instituted.

Rather than control who registers to vote everyone will be registered and admitted to the process, the onus on the State to determine who is illegally registered while the State is barred from obtaining information from the applicant.

Common sense: Control the point of entry - to the country and the voting process - rather than backstop it after the fact.

And the first priority of The Speaker Of The House is amnesty?

Great. Add one more mouth to feed and support on the government teat that is not allow to stop any illegal aliens from entering and is also prohibited from deporting said aliens.

I honestly am astronomically puzzled as to why these RINO Senators can actually think this is a good thing for the country. I can only surmise they are nothing but power hungry, attention seeking, fawning appeasers that could give a crap about anything but themselves.

We are witnessing a time that has happened before. It was a time long ago when 100 Senators and an Emperor succeeded in destroying their realm so completely.

I KNEW IT!!!

The problem isn’t border enforcement and WAS NEVER border enforcement. The problem is the demographic shift wiping out Republicans in the US, just as it did in California after Reagan signed the 1986 bill. It took less than a decade in California to take a 50/50 state and turn it into a 60/40 SOLID BLUE state - so now we get to see that nationally.

Get ready for 30,000,000 new Democrat voters.

Putting an amendment in, passing it, does not mean it will be enforced.

Unless and until ENFORCEMENT is the #1 priority, nothing they pass will do anything. And in 5 years, they will be dealing with another few millions of new illegals.

==

This amendment is pablum to placate the masses. The pea under the shell. Now you see it, later you won’t.

NO SALE! unless it establishes securing the border as the #1 priority.

I don’t believe them.

They said the same thing in 1986, now we’ve got triple to illegal aliens as then even though the political class promised us.

I’ll tell you what will make me want to see this bill passed. First, form an independent commission, NOT political cronies, to study the problem and give recommendations. Second, one recommendation will be to secure the borders and use this same commission to watch the progress and report back to us.

THIRD....the political class has to admit that they lied to us in 1986, please forgive us.....they can make it pretty by saying that politicians come and go, are elected then unelected, we are sorry we lied so many years ago.

Only along the above lines will I EVER agree to this immigration stuff.

I think I am not alone and the political class is in total terror mode as the American people fight back.

ALL Americans should be against this evil Amnesty bill

The bill Will bring in 100 million more new immigrants from the 3rd world.

do you value your job , your income , your country, you stupid liberal/democrat voters? Obviously you don’t. you think these immigrants won’t take your job, MORONs = liberals

The current Amnesty bill must be stopped.call congress.

30 million illegals get Amnesty to vote in 2014 election

those 30 million can bring in 50 million more of their relatives still in the 3rd world.

30 million more illegals will invade to do the “under the table” jobs

untold millions will cross into the USA to get in on the
Amnesty bonanza.

if this bill passes the USA is done

these representatives in Congress are traitors against
Americans .

What do we do sit here and complain on the Internet when we should be protesting in the streets, outside of Congress as they prepare to give Amnesty to these immigrant creeps.protests, marches, no we sit here while they take our country away.

At least we should be calling Congressmen non stop, emailing , twitter ,paper letters( an effective method) etc.

I am writing something up to give these congressmen a piece of my mind

The Republicans should declare a moratorium on all legislation coming from the White House, until ALL the loose ends on ALL the scandals are cleaned up. But Boehner acts as if everything originating from the White House comes from a god. That’s why he said that he trusts the president; if he said otherwise his actions would reveal his complicity.

“The safety of a republic depends essentially on the energy of a common national sentiment; on a uniformity of principles and habits; on the exemption of the citizens from foreign bias and prejudice; and on that love of country which will almost invariably be found to be closely connected with birth, education, and family. The opinion advanced in the Notes on Virginia is undoubtedly correct, that foreigners will generally be apt to bring with them attachments to the persons they have left behind; to the country of their nativity; and to its particular customs and manners. They will also entertain opinions on government congenial with those under which they have lived; or if they should be led hither from a preference to ours, how extremely unlikely is it that they will bring with them that temperate love of liberty, so essential to real republicanism?”

Yesterday, it looked like the S. 744 amnesty was going to fall short of 60 votes.

But this morning, two Republican Senators from Tennessee and one from North Dakota are trying to save the amnesty with an amendment designed to look like it fixes the enforcement problems of the bill, but it really is just a fake-out.

We have to make sure the fence-sitting Senators know that the public won’t be fooled by a watered down amendment that throws a little more money at border security but leaves most of the loopholes in place and still gives the amnesty work permits and legalization before any enforcement happens at all.

Its as if there is a large heavily armed invasion army pining to conquer their neighbor, and the defender country's leaders make a unilateral "peace" deal: The large heavily armed invader can ALL enter, with the one proviso that they do so unarmed. Would there be any difference with the scenario of this Amnesty bill, other than that the large heavily armed invader is ALREADY present, albeit unarmed?
