Obama - Inexplicably Drawn to the Rainbow

The only thing American Politicians find trendier than gold in South Africa is Nelson Mandela the man who created the “Rainbow Nation” myth. Later this month Barak Obama will visit South Africa with his family. It has been estimated the trip to Africa will cost the American taxpayer up to a hundred million dollars. Hillary Clinton was there late last year looking decidedly undignified as she bumped and grinded on the dance floor at a party with African National Congress officials. She ended her trip pledging close to a billion dollars to this young “democracy”.

The  latest US State Department Human Rights Report on South Africa gave the country a near clean bill of health which is in stark contrast to the reality of what is going on there. Perhaps the Obama’s want to see “Madiba” one last time before he dies and the country no longer holds any interest for them or perhaps the President enjoys being around a Government that rearranges reailty in much the same way as he does.

In truth South Africa is a dangerous place both for local minorities and for Americans.

Al-Qaeda Terrorist Training Camps
In a recent report, South African journalist, De Wet Potgieter of the Daily Maverick revealed after a year long investigation that there are a number of al-Qaeda terrorist training camps operating in South Africa.

The report states that the South African police’s (SAPS) specialised unit, Crimes Against the State (CATS) and the State Security Agency (SSA) have been monitoring the training of Al-Qaeda terrorists in South Africa for several years, without taking any action. The investigation also revealed that the State is ignoring incriminating evidence about secret military training camps and sophisticated sniper training at three well-documented locations as well as several others across South Africa.

The SAPS top-secret, deep-cover operation – Operation Kanu – was driven by crime intelligence, and was launched shortly after the 9-11 World Trade Center terror attacks to investigate extremist Muslim activities in the country. However, all spying activities in connection with Operation Kanu were abruptly halted at the beginning of 2010 under yet-unexplained circumstances. The teams of intelligence operatives were recalled from the operation sites, all visual material seized and laptops with the surveillance data and situation reports of deep-cover agents taken away from them. The men were told by their superiors that the orders for the cessation of the surveillance operation had come “from the top”. No other explanations were given and they were re-deployed to other assignments and groups of undocumented Pakistani males regularly arrive in small border towns where they stay for a short time and the disappear overnight.

The centre of this suspected terrorist network are several members of the well-known and influential Dockrat family, members of whom have been listed by the UN Security Council as a terror suspects because of their links with and funding of Al-Qaeda.

Potential Nuclear Weapons Threat
Added to this potential threat to the United States is a far larger concern that is conveniently being overlooked by the US State Department. Before the ANC took power the previous government had a very strong, sophisticated arms industry even selling SA designed attack helicopters to Israel. It was widely known that there was also an advanced nuclear weapons project there and SA later openly admitted to having at least 6 gun-type nuclear weapons.

As far back as 1975, two test shafts over 250 meters deep for conducting nuclear tests were drilled at a South African military base but tests were cancelled when a Soviet surveillance satellite detected the test preparations. The Soviets notified the United States of their discovery and South Africa was forced to cancel the tests in the face of diplomatic pressure from America, the Soviet Union, and France. Just before the ANC took power SA joined the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) but this is cold comfort as South Africa is also a signatory to the United Nations resolution against international terrorism.

As with most things, treaties and other undertakings mean little to many African governments renowned for their corruption. Also, given President Zuma’s close friendship with the late Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, the obvious question is whether the protection of Al-Qaeda terrorists in South Africa is linked to corruption or ideology - perhaps both.

The ANC has long been in support of communism and it is not surprising to find the Government linked to international terrorist groups. It is also not impossible that the nuclear programme could quietly be restarted. This year on April 25th the ANC passed the Protection of State Information Bill which has far reaching powers to suppress any information and has a potential jail term of 25 years for anyone releasing information or that is perceived as bringing the State into disrepute.

Human Rights Abuses
The State Department has also conveniently also ignored the horrific State enforced human rights abuses that are being perpetrated. This is in spite of the US based organization Genocide Watch reporting that there is an escalating genocide of the white minority.  Over 69 000 white South Africans have been murdered - many including the elderly and children brutally tortured to death since 1994, mostly in racially motivated hate killings. Over the past 20 years the ANC Government has implemented numerous programs, some legislated and some not, that have as their aim the destruction of the European minority. These policies have been held up as redistribution of wealth and transformation. In December 2, 2012  the ANC created legislation that reduces the Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) status of any companies that donate to charities which assist whites. Without BEE status a companies can obtain business in South Africa.

This cruel legislation aimed only at whites affects orphanages, displaced people camps, old age homes, Safe houses and NGO’s similar to Childline and Rape Crisis.

In a sane world it would be inconceivable that the president of the United States would support a foreign Communist inspired Government perpetrating such horrific human rights abuses and supporting Al-Qaeda terrorist training activities.
