I think you were spot on in that the GOP vote dropping '08 to '12 is not plausible. Yeah Romney was a weak candidate, but back in '08 you had even a weaker candidiate, coupled with Bush fatigue. It just doesn't pass the red faced test.
All in all Scandalpalooza sums up what I have been saying on other threads. We are seeing an unprecedented historic level of corruption in the Executive Branch that makes Nixon look like a boy scout.
Now the problem of why we are screwed In my young days, this despot would have been railed out.
(1)Now we have a complicit media who all own their own Obama autographed kneepads.
(2)Coupled with an huge entitlement faction who only cares about their welfare check.
(3) 10-15% Moonbatshit crazy left wing loonies who would love nothing less than to turn this country into 1950's USSR.
(4) Racially motivated minorites who would have voted for Hitler in '08 and '12, if he would have been black.
(5) PC based society who lives in fear of appearing racist calling out this incompetent bastard.
(6) GOP has blame too, shoving weak RINO candidates down our throat. Good thing these same weak links weren't around back in '80, or we would have had Nelson Rockefeller on the ticket. And don't even get me started on the Immigration Bill of 2013, which needs to be changed to the GOP Suicide Bill of 2013.
Very trying times, I needed a rant.
The problem with your exhortation is that I am a big wuss, a simpering pussbunny that is terribly easy to spook; and if I am startled, I end up under the table in the fetal position, trembling, my mouth wide open in a silent scream and my eyes wide in terror, covered by cold sweat and usually lying in a puddle of my own sick.
Well written, friend. Might even be grist for another editorial. Peace to you and love in your life.
Thanks for reminding me....
Nice turn of a phrase. As an avid artisan of the English language, I appreciate it greatly!
Yaaaay! Glad to be on your list.
Hate to say it, but I think the America being passed on to your grandkids, nieces and nephews is already different from the one we grew up in. I know it's definitely different from the one my parents grew up in (dad, stepdad and several uncles all served in WWII/Korea and in all branches of the service except the Coast Guard). Although I miss them, in a way I'm thankful they're not here to see what they fought for has become.
You are STILL the 206th Satisfied Customer!
But you'll have your rifle with you, right?
No. Guns are scary.
The men in your family were from a time when men were men.The men who fought those wars and the men who led those troops were men for the most part who learned to shoot, to hunt and fish, to wrestle and box and play sports, were Christian and moral. That ideal has been all but stamped out.Boys are taught to ‘’feel’’(which is really the concept of self-doubt).I really don’t want to be around much longer. There is something coming on the horizon and I feel it ain;t good.
LOL!
Well, we won't talk about my black-sheep uncle ;-) ... but you're right about the rest of it and they did all that. They were all masculine -- not the phony macho put-on, but just normal men -- or what we would have considered "normal" for the time, traits that are being bred out of the kids today.
I guess that’s what our parents and grandparents meant when they used to say of someone who was ‘’normal’’,as ‘’he’s a good egg’’.
