AN EgyptAir plane from Cairo to New York has landed at Glasgow Prestwick Airport after being diverted.
EgyptAir flight from Cairo to New York lands in Glasgow Prestwick Airport
Reports suggest plane was escored by typhoon fighter jets before landing
The Boeing 777 - which was travelling to JFK International Airport - touched down at 2.30pm.
Air traffic control at the airport confirmed that action was taken following a problem, and that standard procedure had been followed.
Unconfirmed reports said that typhoon fighter jets escorted the plane to Prestwick.
Police Scotland confirmed there was an ongoing incident at the airport and officers had been sent to the scene.
It is not known how many people are on board the plane.
Eyewitnesses reported that the plane landed at a remote runway at the airport in Ayrshire. It is understood that the passengers and crew are being kept on board.
Armed police were in attendance and roads leading to the airport were closed due to the ongoing incident.
The most important question: were the passengers fertile?
Given that Prestwick is a town 30m south of Glasgow, and is a 60 year old airport in its own right, I hate them calling it Glasgow Prestwick, until recent years it was just Prestwick.
Its like calling Buffalo Airport ‘New York Buffalo Airport’.
“There was probably an inciting video being shown on the in-flight tv.”
Probably some whore showed her ankles/sarcasm;)
" On board: BBC New York producer Nada Tawfik found the note in the cabin toilets scribbled on a napkin"
Sounds like she is looking for a scoop.
Yes..I remember that...and as I recall that incident was never called a terrorist attack..??
