Syrian president has used chemical weapons, crossing "Red Line" (Beware Wag the Dog ALERT!)
Fox News ^ | June 14, 2013 | AP / Fox News

The White House announced Thursday that the Obama administration has conclusive evidence that Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime has used chemical weapons against his opposition, killing up to 150 people in the last year and crossing what President Obama has called a "red line" that would lead to greater American involvement in the crisis.

It was not immediately clear what the next U.S. move would be, but a statement by Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes said that the use of chemical weapons by Syria has changed the President’s "calculus."

Beware "Wag the Dog"!

I heard McLame, was pushing for a Syrian no-fly-zone, on Fox News this morning. Talk about giving Obama a green light to distract from his homeland problems. I believe this is going to be used by Obambi to "wag-the-dog". And a little aside: where did those chemical weapons come from? Oh wait! Bush already told us where they came from.

Seriously, gas weapons are designed for area use, and yet we are supposed to believe the Syrian army's aim with them is so bad that over an entire year they only hit 150 people?

Somebody has to come up with THOUSANDS for any of this to be believable.

Someone should check McCain's medicine bottles for some bad stuff.

Why is giving al Qaeda 20,000 MANPADs and the Ambassador
for their use not enough????

Why is helping al Qaeda in Africa and Libya, and Egypt
not enough?

Why is helping Hasan and the COLE terrorists not enough?

Why is impeding US military not enough?

It’s never enough until the Caliphate is re-established.

Just what we need, ANOTHER war that we have no business getting into. Odumbo is only doing this to offset the botched Benghazi scandal plus the numerous other scandals he has helped get into. It is time to get him out of the office of CIC and the presidency. Next thing we know there will be 1,000,000 plus “refuges” brought her to America so they too can vote “demodummie”.

I would argue that the presence of AQ in Syria is considered not great enough to overcome the primary rebel presence. AQ is there but not the controlling faction.

When Assad is gone, AQ will be dealt with

Yep. And why would we ever support an enemy unless the enemy had an ally in the WH. Oh, I guess I answered my own question.

The question is how many time has the Syrians used chemical weapons and how many time has the opposition used them. I can’t believe we are supporting elements of Al-Queda. But given who’s in charge maybe I can.

Obama is busily working on destroying the last vestiges of Middle Eastern grudging coexistence with Western governments. Egypt, Libya, Syria —— Jordan is next, maybe Turkey.

His goal is to completely surround Israel and have the Muslim Brotherhood destroy it. God has other plans, though.

Use of these chemical weapons is as likely to have been a “false flag” by certain of the rebel forces, as by the government forces.

There is no way, now, of knowing who pulled the safeties on several gas containers and tossed them into the crowd. And if certain rebel forces and civilians were sacrificed in the process, by what was essentially “friendly fire” by some of their own commanders, it lends a good deal of plausibility to the claim it was Bashar al-Assad’s troops who made the move.

I notice a conspicuous absense of any sign of support for the protestors in Turkey. Obama will throw US support behind uprisings that will put muslims in control of a country, but not those that would remove them.

your assessment is so faulty in so many ways. To put it in terms you will understand, you are wrong.

It also lends credibility to the idea that Assad's TRAINED forces didn't do it. Gas has this problem ~ you get too close to it when you're using it you become one of the victims.

My focus is on how we keep the Christians alive while the muzzies kill each other off ~ as usual. With Obama and his running dog lackeys they'll dismiss the Christians as necessary collateral damage.

I think anyone who wants to get involved in this mess needs to hike up their big boy pants and get on the next flight over there or shut the hell up.

And a little aside: where did those chemical weapons come from?

Well... they came from Syrian manufacturing plants. The weapons President Bush referred to were of various types, including chemical warheads and were stored in various places, including Bekka Valley. That was a long time ago and it is unlikely they would even be operable today. Assad would be using whatever NEW weapons he had at his disposal. It's not like he can walk into Bekka Valley and ask for those ten year old warheads that the Ruskies hid there so that the USA, FRANCE, and RUSSIA wouldn't have the world finding out that they supplied components for these WMD's since it is 'illegal'.
