In a sharp escalation of the U.S. role in Syria's bloody civil war, the White House announced late Thursday that it will provide military aid to rebels fighting to topple President Bashar al-Assad after confirming that his government used chemical weapons on the opposition.

Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes told reporters on a conference call that President Barack Obama had heard pleas from Syria's rebel Supreme Military Council (SMC) for more help. "Our aim is to be responsive," Rhodes said, underlining that the new assistance would have "direct military purposes."

I guess it is going to have to be a whole kennel of “wag the dogs” to get public’s mind off an epic and historic flood of presidential criminal scandals.

How about Wag the Scandals.

Can we just say it now, since it’s obvious ?

Al-Qada is a CIA operation.

The US government keeps supporting Al-Qada in every revolution in the middle east.

Scary thought, that Al-Qada has been a CIA operation from the beginning, wayyyy back in the 1990’s.

National security, though, so no comment from any US government agencies, can’t confirm or deny.

Hey Foxnews, why not run with that story ?

Can they confirm or deny that Al-Qada is a CIA operation ?

Whistleblowers, do your thing !

No.No.No.. Lets NOT go. This is muzzie on muzzie, we need to stay out of it! I don't want ANY American blood spilled over there (compounded with chem warfare now).

I'm weary of the middle east and islam and muslims. We need to get some fracking on, some nuke reactors on, drilling for oil on in this country. Energy independence NOW and then world wide announcement: "Mess with us again, a couple sites starting with M in Saudi Arabia are GONE for at LEAST 10000 years, glowing gone.

/yeah, yeah, I know, the carpet five time a day head banger in the white hut would NEVER look out for us American's first.

And the president has been warning that “the window is closing ” on Assad—one way or another—since at least March 2012.

Obama himself redrew his “red line” for action in a White House press conference on Tuesday.
‘April 30,2012’”
He had previously said proof that Assad’s forces had used chemical weapons against the rebels would be a “game changer” that might lead him to consider the use of force. On Tuesday, he changed that standard, saying: “If I can establish in a way that not only the United States but also the international community feel confident is the use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime, then that is a game changer.”

Go to all the message boards, CNN, and the like. The messages are all the same. No one wants America to be involved in another war in the Middle East.

Justin Raimondo from anti war site is becoming more right each day pass

Very good points. And the reason this has been the very last pillar of stability that Obama has shattered, is because the risks as you pointed out can be catastrophic. And at this point in time, with these idiots leading the US, we have to assume that those risks will be catastrophic.

The thing is, Obama is so gung-ho about Syria, yet he did NOTHING when Khamenei/Ahmadinejad pulled a Tiananmen Square after the rigged election back in 2009 and slaughtered tons of people.

This is a Wag the Scandal situation. All he wants is death and destruction on the newspapers and web pages. Probably could care less which side wins (Sunni or Shiite).

That reminds me, if we take Syria out (which we won’t),,can we take out Yemen as well? I mean since we’re in the area.

Whats going on in Syria is just another squirrel from Obama to take the focus off the REAL scandals..whenever scandals break for Obama there is always something that comes out that distracts people from the real issue

We have the single dumbest government on the face of the planet. Our support of these animals comes just days after our Egyptian “friends” are caught discussing their war with America.

And the Pentagon cannot even make payroll for its engineers, maintainers, teachers, and nurses.

Pentagon begins notifying workers of their up to 11 furlough days

Even disabled combat veterans with the Purple Heart who are DoD employees are being furloughed! I know one of them (no joke).

And we are giving Billions to Muslim murderers?

This crap has to stop, and stop now!

If you are correct -- that al-Qaida from the beginning has been a CIA front -- then it would follow logically that the Truthers were right these past 12 years: 9/11 was an inside job in which one faction in the government attacked another faction.

That's a disturbing thought.
