(CNSNews.com) - In his prepared text for a speech he is delivering today at the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference and Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, Sen. Rand Paul (R.-Ky.) said to illegal aliens who want to live and work in the United States: [W]e will find a place for you.
Paul also said he envisions todays illegal aliens becoming additional taxpayers.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers, said Paul.
Illegal aliens working in the United States today are not exempted from complying with the nation's tax laws anymore than they are exempted from complying with U.S. laws governing immigration or document fraud.
[W]e will find a place for you.
No matter how many taxpayers we have to rob and push out of the way.
Does Rand Paul really believe this or is he just stating so to appease the masses? Illegals aren’t like the young naive liberals who trust the government at their word. Once they pop their heads up they know it’s IRS whack a mole time. Sorry señor, me no trust lying white or black man. You know he lying when his mouth is open...
Many of that 12 mill are working and paying taxes, but not filing because they are scared of getting caught. So Rand is wrong in that this will create 12m “new” taxpayers...but many freepers are wrong to assume that all 12M are tax evaders too.
Our politicians are blind to the requests of the citizens. We don’t want a general amnesty and we know that these illegals are and will be a huge drain on our finances and will require thousands of additional bureaucrats to manage them and their benefits. The uneducated masses will not bring us prosperity they will bring us higher taxes, lower services and socialist voters..wanting more benefits.
You were saying something about me being a jerk huh? Read this, jpsb
close that border, then tell illegals they have 6 months to go home to their country and apply for status just like legal immigrants do and trust me I know all about the immigration process as I went through it.
If however they do nto go home they are arrested and sent home , never to return and those who did go home wait in their country until they receive word of a visa just like legal immigrants do
if you get a chance see post 11 Norm pal
Yea right they will still work for cash and not pay a dime!
The only reason they want citizenship is to not be deported!
I’d bet most would still use illegal status to get the dole.
Well, if 12 million would be good, why don’t we let in 12 billion?
I can’t say how disturbing this is to me... I’m down to Sarah P., there are no other Americans left in the political establishment.
What a disappointment Rand Paul and Marco Rubio have become.
Imagine a way to get elected with 12 million new democratic voters, Rand.
Has anyone asked them if they want to “come out of the shadows” and “become new taxpayers”? What is the benefit to them?
How can they collect taxes on people who pay cash to their fellow illegal immigrant employees?
These people will NOT pay taxes.
And that, my friends, is the end of the republic.
Well, that is a pretty good argument against legalizing pot. Rand Paul is obviously smoking something...
“Friends don’t let friends smoke pot and legislate.”
Stupid. Just plain stupid. We refuse to enforce the law so we invite the criminals to join us. Might as well say if someone breaks into your house they are entitled to then be your family member.
Hey Senator Paul if all you’re after is 12 million new taxpayers, you’d think it’d be better for the country if they were YOUR OWN DAMN CITIZENS.
Democrat landslides ping.
How is it that Randito Pablo CANNOT understand this? It is blatantly obvious.
I don’t get it. Rand Paul needs to do some research and find out that studies have shown only about 20% of these people have any interest in becoming US citizens. Most of these illegals are Mexicans. They are highly nationalistic and they have no desire to give up being Mexican citizens. They just want to cash in on the freebies here. Most will never come out of the shadows. So much for the 12 million new taxpayers.
Also, what about states like AZ and GA my state who have passed strict laws to keep the illegals out and keep them from getting welfare, drivers licenses etc. If this bill passes both houses then the illegals will flood back in here. We just got rid of a good portion of them and I cannot tell you how much better life is without them.
This apparently insane rush by “conservatives” for amnesty for illegals is incomprehensible. The only reasonable explanation is that we do not know something important about how and why this is being done. Do they have intel suggesting that without an open door and amnesty for illegals, the Mexican government will fall to Islamists? Is Obama using NSA data for extortion of Repub lawmakers? Is there a plan to destroy the senate bill through amendments entering rules unacceptable to the Dems? Is there a secret plan to indeed build a real border fence despite Dem opposition? The simple fact is that when someone suddenly and incomprehensibly changes his opinion 180 degrees, there has to be a good reason.
It looks like Rand Paul is not all that he may appear, just another wacko like his old man. Had enough with the likes of Rubio, Paul, McCain, Grahame et al. Looks like the last man standing will be Ted Cruz...hope he don’t f it up.
Confidential to Rand: you are thinking this all wrong. Try 10 million new mouths to feed.
Or lobby to get rid of an icome tax and replace it with a sales tac.
Ted Cruz for President 2016.
And working tax free jobs in front of the Home Depot store.
I am convinced that there is something very important that we don’t know. And, honestly, I do t know what it could be except extortion.
He has to support it. It’s a done deal. Opposing it gains him nothing.
It is more likely to me, that he sees them as possible new Republican voters, and better still, new payers into the tax pot...
Shakes head. No other nation is foolish enough to welcome unapologetic criminals so warmly.
Our “representatives” serve no one but themselves...
Dear Lord, give us strength.
Many already are. This notion of all this under the table stuff is bull. The bill is still bad. It must be defeated, but the idea that these folks are paid under the table is fantasy.
“Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers, said Paul.
How very “libertarian” of him...
Just scratched off the dwindling list....
Self serving greed, FRiend. Nothing more. 0 has shown them that all they have to do to change the rules, is to ignore them...
Other than the stalwart few, they are all thicker than thieves. They will not give up their perceived power willingly, but sadly, it will take the collapse of the country for them to realize they hold no power at all.
Please Lord, guide our course.
Also, how about going after the 47% who don’t pay fed taxes, hmmmmm?
What happens if the economy takes another big dive?
Rand and others do not realize that passing this bill will gain the GOP oblivion.
The cultural attitude of these illegal criminals is that they strongly view government programs and necessary and good (hence, their support of RATS)
These 20M+ criminal illegals have on average 6 children who will be raised in Spainish only, anti-American, strongly anti-Republican households.
It will be the GOP-e that will doom this Republic to being a third world Sewer.
What the idiot Rand and Rubio don't care to see is that this bill is checkmate for our Republic as founded.
But what about all the "taxpayers" that have wrongly been aborted since activist justices decided Roe v. Wade?
The unemployment rate in Mexico is lower than ours, so if they “just want to work” they would go back to Mexico. What they really want is the freebies from those gov’t programs.
Send them to all of the blue states.
Let’s see the Rand Paul people spin THIS!!
