I think the way it actually works with the Secret Service is that they have software that can scan the entire Internet and identify potential threats to the President. If the software comes up with a hit, the SS checks it out further and may visit and interview an individual, as is their job.
No doubt the software occasionally flags FR posts. And it must have sounded an alarm about the guy in this article.

I think it's a safe assumption to make that most of us are in that database Obama has developed (that Maxine Waters spoke of) and have been for some time now. Yes...we ARE on their radar. I bet Bill Ayers has already informed Barry of how many of us righties Barry will have to 'round up'.
I’d imagine all that scouring is automated. Analysts comb through bulk data looking for keywords, themes etc...
