The Obama administration’s legs are wobbling under the weight of so many scandals lately that whole chunks of the edifice – the IRS, the NSA, the DOJ – are threatening to implode, particularly without support from the normally adoring media. Even the New York Times – the New York Times! – is no longer willing to bolster an administration whose totalitarian urges have been exposed to the light.
Let’s begin with the Internal Revenue Service’s thuggish targeting of conservative groups. From April 2010 to April 2012, the IRS placed on hold the processing of applications for tax-exempt status received from organizations with such presumably conservative indicators as “Tea Party,” “patriots,” or “9/12” in their names, approving only four while green-lighting applications from several dozen organizations whose names included the likely left-leaning terms “progressive,” “progress,” “liberal,” or “equality.” It demanded from some conservative organizations unwieldy amounts of documentation and private information, such as what books their members were reading or what they had posted on social networking sites. The Coalition for Life of Iowa was actually asked to detail the content of their prayers at meetings. The Cincinnati office of the IRS leaked confidential donor information from some conservative applications to an investigative reporting organization. Even some conservative individuals are now alleging that they were personally targeted by the IRS for political reasons. Mark Steyn correctly labeled this abuse “a scale of depravity hitherto unknown to the tax authorities of the United States.”
Then Obama’s sycophantic press itself discovered to their dismay that Attorney General Eric Holder’s Justice Department secretly collected telephone records for April and May of 2012 from as many as twenty of the Associated Press wire service’s reporters and editors, in relation to an apparent leak to the AP about an al Qaeda plot in Yemen. The NYTimes is backpedaling as fast as it can from criticism of Obama over the weekend.
If the NYT criticized the regime for its totalitarian urges someone didn’t read their articles correctly. The NYT has been pro-totalitarianism for decades and decades! They are a pussfilled blemish on the nation.
It fits the 0bama pattern.
Win by eliminating opposition. It’s the _only_ way he’s ever “won” any election.
Now, he’s using the powers of the executive branch of our nation against us to destroy opposition to totalitarian rule.
If you’re planning on running for office, starting an group to promote smaller government, advocate lower taxes, etc.... 0bama will destroy you with the information he gathers. If that doesn’t work, he’ll just make some crap up.
By the time you are able to fight back, it’s over. President for life 0bama has won.
That’s the goal. They are marxists. marxists want total government control over everything, money, jobs, thoughts.
I have long maintained that Obama’s ideal is that the US should be transformed into the former East Germany. When East Germany collapsed, it was found that their secret police, the Stasi, also kept tons of records on private individuals including phone calls, bank records, medical records, political associations etc. I am sure that former Stasi look with envy at how the US government is able to track its citizens.
One thing about the Obama administration it’s teaching felons how to go big time.
What laws haven’t they broke?.
And arrogance. And not being nearly as smart as we think we are.
Anyone who pays attention will note there is a strange but hard to question de facto alliance between radical Islam and radical Leftism. They are siblings… both HATE the Judeo-Christian foundations of the USA and western culture, both hate and dismiss the concept of individual rights and sovereignty.. Both seek a top-down totalitarian permanent privileged ruling class and caste system where the rulers are exempt from laws that the lower caste must submit. Almost a perfect “marriage” made in HELL! If successful in destroying the western model, I figure like the Nazis/USSR in WW2, they will then savagely fight it out with each other… sorta like a gang war. EVIL will be the only victor!
Every one of these scandals but BENGHAZI is a red herring. They are being thrown out there to divert our attention from BENGHAZI. There is no obvious evidence that the WH even gives a fig what is brought out, they are probably even the originating source for all of them. Do not let BENGHAZI be forgotten!
Just turn that rock over and shine that light here.
