Here's the one question I wished I had asked the NRA lawyer. Suppose you go so far as to actually disassemble your firearm. Break it down into as many pieces as possible, then store each piece in a different locked case. Would that be enough to get you a pass in NYC, DC, NJ, and Baltimore?
It is sad that I even have to consider such a question, but I wonder if it would work.
It looks like if I stayed on route 84 I could bypass NJ but I’m not 100% sure.
