Professor Gasmans "Haeckels Monism and the Birth of Fascist Ideology" provides insights into the coherent fascist intellectual doctrine that, by 1920, was embraced by a wide swath of European academics and artists. Defining features of this cohort were:
They referred to themselves as: ecologists, naturalists and socio-biologists.
They were pseudo-scientists bent on subverting real science.
Their mantras were: natural, holistic, and organic.
Their Religion of Nature was basically a revival of Pantheism. They worshipped Earth as a divine living organism. Human achievements were disparaged as scant and fleeting compared to Natures glory.
They desired scientist-led governance. Scientists probed Natures divine realm, hence scientists alone understood the political implications of Natures laws.
They were pessimistic and denied the existence of progress.
They exhibited a longing for primitivism.
They were organizationally and ideologically linked to the organic foods movement.
They were organizationally and ideologically allied with the occultist/neo-pagan milieu.
They were divided between those who wanted to replace Christianity and those who wanted to modify Christianity.
They dreaded human overpopulation and were active in eugenics/population control strategizing.
They considered humanitarianism to be scientifically incorrect.
They described society as an organism that grew organically out of Nature.
They saw direct continuity between biological and sociological laws, and contended that bio-evolutionary laws should literally be the basis for human laws.
They believed human survival required abject conformity to the environmental totality. Human liberation would come not through dominion over Nature but through submission to Natural Law.
They opposed capitalist industrialization and sought to reinvigorate beleaguered countryside interests undermined by the rise of industrial cities. Hostility to industrial capitalism manifested in criticism of what was deemed lifeless scientific-mechanical thinking.
They stridently opposed democracy.

Ah ha, the father of environazism.
I’m continually amazed at the sheer quantity of so-called thought that liberals have mistaken for truth. Thanks for posting this.
I would contend an "in" belongs before "coherent."
AS you read this article please do not mistake what was referenced as Nature’s Laws with Natural Law.
Haeckel provides us with the skeleton key to unlock contemporary history across a number of fronts that impinge upon conservative thought. For republican anti-monarchists, this guy presents us with a perception of the enemy’s cerebral cortex that insures accurate target acquisition. Research on his forebears and influence will bear serious fruit. Copies of this article sent or posted on leftist sites will be a nuclear depth charge. The web site this was taken from should be immediately mirrored or copied and backed up in its entirety. Its content is a game changer and references many books that should become part of any patriot’s library.
Definition of environazism=any attempt whatsoever to preserve/protect the environment. Right?
Wrong.
Im continually amazed at the sheer quantity of so-called thought that liberals have mistaken for truth.
“They opposed capitalist industrialization and sought to reinvigorate beleaguered countryside interests undermined by the rise of industrial cities.”-Screw flyover country, right?
“They were organizationally and ideologically linked to the organic foods movement.”-Heaven forbid healthy, natural, non-chemical saturated foods, right?
Closer to the “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short” life version of environmentalism.
Fascism is no joke. America is now under fascist control.
Good Read:

Fanatical environmentalism isn't interested in preserving and protecting the environment for the sake of humanity but preserving the environmentalist's power and position.
The use and ban of DDT furnishes no better example. Opposition to the Golden rice is another or the efforts to shut down the ship breakers in poor countries.
Thanks Yollopoliuhqui.
No, these things are not wrong in and of themselves.
But it’s not hard to come up with a list of beliefs of socialists and even commies that are pretty hard to argue with, also. You aren’t opposed to equality or in favor of aristocracies, are you?
When “natural, holistic, and organic” is used as part of the rationale for killing all the Jews, which it was, then it’s a problem.
When the government decides to overtax cities and suburbs to subsidize peasants, that’s a problem.
When all but “organic foods” are banned, and hundreds of millions or billions of people starve, that’s pretty much a problem. Or even when the government takes it upon itself to force me to pay 4x the price for zuchinni, as I saw recently at the store, for organic.
The fascists and nazis had a lot of really intelligent things to say about the corruption of modern life, art and literature. Also about how reducing all human relations to the financial nexus is not a good thing. And that communism is bad.
The problem is that their proposed solutions are a good deal worse than the disease. They were utterly opposed to human freedom.
I felt the same way when I came across the writings of Paolo Friere. So much of our educational system comes from his type of thinking, to whit:
Engorgement of the lumpenproletariat to crash the capitalist system, his African anti-colonialist Marxist roots (read: Obama’s daddy), the deconstruction of traditional heroes and replacement thereof with socialists, etc.
Scary stuff.
Ask survivors of Stalin’s Ukraine if his so-called agrarian reforms were as advertised.
Well, I do believe in aristocracy.
This one might be of interest to the Agenda 21 group.
Thanks, Twotone, very relevant!
If anyone wants to be on or off the Agenda 21 ping list, please notify me by Freepmail. It is a relatively low volume list in which we have been exploring the UN Agenda21 and related topics.
