I agree this looks like JIhad
“His last name Zawahri its not a Christian name.”
Not necessarily. See the post below:

It would seem that the family has a Christian background. In virtually all of the cases I have seen personally, Christians from the various eastern groups from the M.E. are long standing, multigenerational Christians. Until I see otherwise I will cautiously assume that this family has been Christian for some time.
I believe you are a manure spreader.
You are correct. I know relatives of this family.
This must be devastating news for the family. When I read that there was an Ohio connection I wondered whether it was the same people you referred to.
I do hope that freepers will refrain from jumping to conclusions in these sort of events.
That and the family comes from Lebanon, formerly a Christian country when it was civilized, now a cesspool of islamists and his last name is the same as the present head of al queda.
Tea Party has nothing to do with this.
The last name being almost identical to the AQ leader is really a distraction here.

Jjotto posted that he knows the Ohio family who are relatives of the California family. They are a Christian family.
At one time, I heard Zawahr or Dhawahr or some such was a place name, which accounts for use across religions.
Jihadis seem to take pseudonyms with a meaning. Anyone know what ‘zawahr’ might mean in Arabic?

I’ll see if AliVeritas is around.
To say that the vast, overwhelming majority of religiously inspired violence is not committed by mohammadens is to deny reality.

It may turn out that it has nothing to do with islam but then again there are things here that make one think the possibility exists.
Well, ima-something, I was just being sarcastic. You know what that means, right???
LOL! Does sort of look like that!

Also looks like a TSA inspector checked his shoes.
Yeah, I got it, right away. And got above it. But I don't think it has anything to do with being Semitic, Amish, or Caucasian=Lebanese; nor with islam, Hindu, or Christino. Age, maybe. But sarcasm here makes it satirical in nature, which I don't feel right now we have an antitype to fit the wry humor.
I'm not saying this with the intent to offend you. But this is such a sad moment, that I can't laugh. The serious part is the common things he has in common with James Holmes and Adam Lanza that more clearly indicates a mayhem-oriented mentality which our gun-hating rulers may leap on to keep prying the lid off our refusal to be subdued on 2nd Amdt issues.
I hope I am making sense.
("imardmd1" is a handle meant to be like a vanity license plate = I'm a reedeemed one, FYI. Been using it for about 25 years, now. Too late to change. See tagline.)
“Did you read post # 6?”
Not only did I read post #6, I wrote it.
Right now I do not think this was religiously inspired. So far, the evidence is not there. The possibility exists that this relates to Islam, but given that this happened in California, the possibility also exists that the guy converted to harikrishna. Not likely, but possible.
My point in all of my posts on this subject is that too many freepers are spring loaded to assume that Islam is at the root of every such act, and then try to fit every bit of evidence to that assumption.
When I hear such news my first reaction is that Islam is a likely connection (given what we’ve seen in recent decades) but when evidence begins to point in a different direction, I adjust my thinking, and allow for other possibilities.
As far as I know there is no evidence showing that Islam is not connected, nothing pointing in another direction. Actually nothing pointing to anything but the fact is that it fits SJS and him being an arab with roots in Lebanon as opposed to an Eskimo from Labrador.
Let’s see where this goes..
Thanks for the additional info on the weapons ban. Obviously gun-free zones and bans are a massive failure.
Yes, I’m waiting for more information.
The only thing I’ve seen today is this:
http://pjmedia.com/blog/the-santa-monica-college-mass-murder-how-did-it-happen/
It actually is commentary, and focuses on the guy’s mental health, so not much to learn there.
