Anti-gunners caught using deception for foreign minions to influence NV polls
Reno Gun Rights Examiner ^ | Governor Sandoval | Mike Searson

Posted on 06/07/2013 8:05:18 PM PDT by marktwain

As the controversial "Universal Background Check" Senate Bill 221 awaits Nevada Governor Sandoval's veto, anti-gun forces have pulled out all stops in an attempt to persuade the governor to sign it. The latest is by deception through calls to the governor's office from out of state cronies, feigning the number to look like it originates in Nevada.

(snip)

Had SB 221 just contained the mental health provisions, even a dyed-in-the wool firearms enthusiast like myself could have supported it. Unfortunately this was not the case, a gun control poison pill was slipped into it.

SB221 would force all private firearms transfers in Nevada to undergo a background check conducted by a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) and performed through NICS. The NICS check may be the only good thing about that part of the bill in that currently background checks are conducted by the Department of Public Safety and proceeds are used to fund the DPS. The Concealed Weapon permit exclusion is a gray area as the bill does not say if it is only covering permits issued after July 2012 or any valid permit. Prior to that time period, certain county sheriff's were not performing their due diligence and made the rest of the state suffer for careless issuing of permits. Gun control forces in the legislature killed a bill which would have allowed early renewal for CCW permits.

The bill mandates that the FFL must keep records of these transactions. It does not specify whether Form 4473 is to be used or some other form of logbook, but that is the chief objection to this bill. It is de-facto registration, the very heart of gun control.

Sandoval better veto this, regardless of what these absurd "polls" say.

Just passed through Tonopah three days ago. As you enter the town from the south, you can't miss a large sign on the side of the road that reads: "WILL ROGERS NEVER MET HARRY REID"

Mike Searson, this piece’s author, was being lured into a Twitter war by local lefty curmudgeon Jon Ralston over Nevada’s SB221 not containing a so-called ‘back door gun registration’ hidden within the Billy’s language. Searson was called a paranoiac, amongst other insults, for his viewpoint that SB221 would lead to gun registration and confiscation.

Why, this bill hasn’t got anything like that in it! You’re imagining secret police hiding under your bed!

The next day after the insults flew at Mike Searson, all this NSA/FBI eavesdropping news broke. Tens of millions of Americans being spied on ‘accidentally’ by secret police. The whole world knows it, and they’re disgusted by our “land of the free” charade.

That fat Jon Ralston faggot is presently dining on his own foot right now.

No surprise at that. I’m sure that the mares against ill-eagle guns and the gabby and mark kelley-giffords traveling road show are robo calling the Gov’s office 24/7. The really sad thing is that he is even considering signing it at all.

Doh! Why don’t we call the provided number provided by the anti’s and then press 2. Duh! So simple a gun owner could do it.

I treid the number, but it does not connect from my present location — or perhaps the campaign is over.

Hopefully they got caught and somehow suspended accepting calls from the 866 number. Last I heard the vetoes outnumbered the supports by about 4 to 1. I called the 775 number yesterday as did my wife one time from each of our phones. One number one vote. Right? Isn’t that the proper way? You only vote once. Guess we’re weird like that. The Gov has 10 days (not counting Sundays) from the close of the session to sign or veto. If he does nothing, it automatically becomes law. I think he has until the 14th of June.

Thanks, yeah, I was responding to some libtard’s “86% of Nevadans support this” line of crap and ralston was one of the people in the tweet. He started with the usual libtard douchebaggery response and I had no idea who he was, as I’m not a fan of overweight liberal tomboys. you’re restricted on twitter to so many characters, and there wasn’t enough to tell this gasbag how I really felt so I dismissed him with “Whatever, dude”.

I did listen to and watch a clip of him with Mark Giffords. For the life of me I am confused as to how someone as rotund as ralston with such a whiny voice and no personality or screen presence has anything beyond a public access type show. He is clearly not an intellectual, either. Is this the best that NV can put on the air?
